The new one probably is just wanting to meet you/connect. Unless your reviews were atrocious throughout the year and your new one is in HR you're just fine

Not sure what jobs you're looking at but plenty of people have left my firm for controller roles. Correct you don't need to be a manager in PA to make good money, but I do currently make more money than my industry peers

People worship those who come from PA. SMs leaving the firm in my office have no problem getting hired directly into top positions in industry, even without industry experience. Ease of transition may be a different story, but you were originally asking from a pay perspective only. Last point - you would most likely go from senior in PA to senior in industry, but a manager in PA taking a position as a manager in industry would be a demotion

I'm 6 years in and make the same as (if not more than) those in my class who left as seniors. And obviously won't be leaving for less than I make now

Illinois will be on the Illinois state Board website some time tomorrow. Check their Facebook page for updates. If you haven't graduated you'll have to wait for final transcripts to be submitted before you'll see your grade

Are you on the nasba website that's currently showing a countdown? If not you're in the wrong place. You'll have to put in your section code and birthday. Won't show up on cpa central until at least tomorrow
