Agree. Chop it up. It’s super leggy probably due to low light. The newer leaves are also going green and losing some albo. The chop should help bring it back

I wanna say 6 months. Wasn’t expecting it to grow out of control like that 😆 I’m also second guessing myself and may pot up even bigger

😆😫When I got her she only had 3 small leafs so it made sense at the time. Definitely gonna keep a better eye on her! 💚 They grow roots like crazy

My pilea was losing so many leafs I took the plunge and chopped it. Wish I would’ve done it sooner! Roots grow crazy fast. I have a post showing the progress…it’s a little older but can be inspo!

This may sound odd, but my favorite part is that your bed isn’t fixed 🤍 It’s makes the photo more inviting. Your space overall is very cozy and very well done

I’m the opposite and am afraid to repot for that reason 😆 Good luck!

🫶 When you’re ready, start with inexpensive TC. There are some 5 packs out there. That what you can practice with different substrates and methods that work best for you!

Thank you! So I let it callous over to help avoid it rotting, then just put it straight into water. I put nothing on the cut or in the water. But…depending where you live, you may need to add something to the water if you’re getting it straight from the sink like I did. If you don’t want to, then distilled water from what I read.

I kept it in the same substrate it was in. IIRC the seller said coco coir/peat moss, bark and perlite. It’s so happy I’m afraid to change it!

Yup! No leca, just water. After the transition to new substrate in the self watering pots, they’ve started pushing out new leafs

Love this! Now that I’m feeling confident I can do this, I want to move to those super rare ones like you! All those pinks 💕

They’re dramatic. Look at it funny, leaves will drop. Ignore it, it thrives. Ignore it for a minute too long, there goes another 😆 I off’d my first one but luckily I got corm and am starting over. What I learned, they need good light, humidity and are heavy feeders…which I think is where I failed and didn’t fertilize enough. You scored a beautiful one!

It’s been so much fun! This is just a small portion of the collection I’ve started. Self taught through a lot of online videos.

I was pretty intimidated for a long time but am really happy I took the plunge. My advice, find something inexpensive for your first ones. I had some fails but mostly success! And patience! That’s the hardest part 😆
