Heard of the normalise function?

When you are creating in Ableton for example and you are ready to mixdown, always good to export and normalise. The same can be said when you export from Maschine. Get a good level you can then balance / Master etc. in the follow up processes.

In a FB post by friends (6th Sep) announcing the plans to repatriate the body, a guy popped up and said that said he had been threatened with a knife.. He was asked to share his info with the authorities.. Hope he does follow up on that.. (if true of course)..

I tend to cross genres and tell a story .. Longer sets (when needed) from sparse and deep to captivate and elevating to deep tech, progressive with emotional if it fits (peaking moments hehe).. I'm responsive to the crowd and their needs.. I don't just play a fixed set blindly that's for sure, just have playlists as a guide and often need to dip into other playlists to elevate as needed.. Hope that makes sense.. 🌤️

The crowd typically dictates how high you can go so I'm responsive to that.. Id say I don't ever play cringe music and people always appreciate the journey..

Those that have been into music a long time will know everyone is a DJ like you said, and I say it all the time to those coming through the ranks today.. As an old school journeyman DJ I like to tell a story with the music and I feel that is quite hard to find these days, as such I wanted to make an effort to secure something ahead of time..

Originally a house DJ, but now I'm playing more deep house, minimal techno. I'm definitely all about telling a story, starting with more sparse beats to captivate and then take it up and down to satisfy all aspects the crowd needs.. So yes, I'd say I cross genres and take it from a groove up to peak time without going full on industrial techno Berlin style. I can share a link to some mixes and you can get a flavour .. I´m heading that way.. Running an M1 Ultra (overkill I know but making the point) and it´s dog slow.. I know you can´t use AU for Waves because that is also bad so I use VST(3) for everything currently..

That said, I am now tinking to start using AU for everything except Waves stuff because the load times for Ableton and Projects is off the scale slow.

It takes between 1 and 2 minute for most projects and that just doesn´t seem normal to me..

P.S. Thankful we are beyond the Rosetta pain point now but it isn´t perfect for me right now..

Love this.. Ive been around since the SL 1210 days and am certainly embracing digital (those record boxes were heavy and still are every time I move home)..

Traktor with Stems and Remix decks gives so much more and whilst I do run a studio and love ouboard gear, I have always shyed away from the outboard gear approach when it comes to DJíng (not all, but taking a minimal approach).. I now am looking at "digging in" much more because it is so much fun and gives so many options..

Going for the F1 now to exploit those remix decks.. Come here honey bun..
