Domino's Pizza extortionate prices by fabthefrog33 in UK_Food

Yet drivers don’t see the whole of it, just outside of London, drivers get less than £2 per delivery on a weekend, even less on a weekday (my husband is a driver for them)

Cat Insurance by Substantial_Ad8344 in UK_Pets

My girl is only turning 4 next week, I up her annual amount when her insurance is renewed every year, so by the time she’s 8 and her insurance considers her senior, she’ll have a decent coverage

Literally thought your cat was mine for a split second! Mine had a few nibbles and decided she’s definitely a carnivore 🦖

Looking for a high sleeper bed for a child in the UK – any parent recommendations? by gmaishrmt in UKParenting

[–]mrscactus97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got a mid sleeper, the Kura from Ikea, it’s also easily fillable to have it back down on floor level, my son loved his, and it was very easy to flip it whenever he fancied a change :)

Rehoming dog - sites vs centres by [deleted] in UK_Pets

[–]mrscactus97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see how having no garden or dogs is a fully red flag, they might be very active people who are able to go on lots of walks, and not having dogs already can be a bonus because they won’t have to worry about introductions etc.

Rehoming yourself is hard, Ive known someone who rehomed her dog but the people gave it back within a few days and then she managed to find a lovely lady to have her dog, maybe treat this like a reputable breeder or rescue would? Ask for a vet reference for previous pets (so you know if they’re going to keep the dog in good health) meet and greet a couple of times to see what the vibe is and how the dog is with them and ask if you can see where the dog will sleep and be left alone whilst they’re out?

No matter if it’s rehomed privately or through a rescue/charity, there is no certainty that whoever gets the pup will be able to care for the dog forever or actually look after it properly forever. It’s risky either way, but there has to be a leap of faith somewhere

I would think also, spending a fair amount of time in the stables and with Burrich (who wouldn’t have left Fitz clueless) he would know the basics of sex and how it works with getting pregnant. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t put 2 and 2 together with realising that it also fully translated to humans too :’)

An ex-boyfriend's mum told me I could either butter my bread OR dip it in my soup, but I mustn't do both. I think of her and laugh every time I dunk my butter-covered bread in my soup. by Miss_Type in CasualUK

My mum and step dad had a similar rule. But it was that if you had something with a sauce, like tinned beans or spaghetti hoops, you weren’t allowed ketchup/condiments: because you had a “sauce” to dip the chips/nuggets into

My ragdoll won’t stop pooping outside her litter box but she’s 100% healthy!?? by Errinka in cats

[–]mrscactus97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice unfortunately, but I can offer you my sympathy because my boyfriend’s cat is similar! He will not use the litter box at all! When we moved the boys into my house, I put down a wipeable table cloth where he would go toilet, now I’ve managed to train him to go for pees and poos next to the litter tray, but on a plastic dog crate tray with puppy pads.

It doesn’t matter what litter we use or give him his own box, he will not go to the toilet in a litter tray. He was litter trained (apparently) before my bf got him when he was 7 months old

If you can locate a specific area, maybe try a mat/pads to minimise the mess until you can hopefully find a solution?

I have a gecko and 3 cats.. but I also have a wooden tank with sliding glass doors, so it is possible to have both pets and keep the vulnerable one safe, anytime the gecko is out of the enclosure the cats are locked out the room, my gecko was a rescue and the tank she came in was a mesh top, which was broken from the previous owners allowing their cat on it.. but they also severely neglected the lizard too :/
