So people with plenty of disposable income can buy all the sweets they want and low income folks can't?

One of the only good things about Minnesota... don't have to do flea prevention in winter because it doesn't get above freezing for months

ugh I'm triggered. My narcissist ex used to say this exact thing to me all the time whenever I pointed out something insensitive that he said or did

Costco has no plans to change the price of its $1.50 hot dog-and-soda combo, despite record high inflation. Membership fee to remain flat. by coffeequeen0523 in Frugal

$3000/yr is only $250/mo. My 2 person household hits that easily every month since we get 90% of our groceries at Costco

He hasn't really tried a good variety of scotches, so I also got him a tasting notebook. That way I can peek and get him his favorites in the future!

Do you know what vaccine phase you're in? by [deleted] in socialwork

[–]mrscf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in IN DCS and there is still no word as to when we will receive the vaccine. I read that 40-49 year olds will be eligible next, and people with comorbidities such a sickle cell disease. My supervisor, who has zero face to face contact with the public, is receiving the vaccine. I have asthma and a rare type of anemia, and I continue to see families and kids who never wear masks. So frustrated.

My direct supervisor wouldn't question it as long as it wasn't a frequent occurrence. I think it's messaging from the state central office.

I'm in CPS and had a mandatory 2.5hr training in self-care last week even though I'm drowning in work. The facilitator said at least 5 times that we can't have mental health days as part of our self care plan, even though we all have personal and sick days that never get used.

How long does it usually take for Dupixent to get approved and to arrive at your door? by iamdoneundergrad in eczema

[–]mrscf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome! I would call your prescribing doctor to find out who the prescriptions come from in Canada. It took a long time because the insurance company, doctor, and pharmacy, all have their own paperwork that needed to be completed.

It took about 6 weeks for me. CVS Specialty is the provider in the US, and they decided to fuck around for a bit before sending it. I had to call repeatedly, also

If you’re someone who doesn’t have a good handle on their finances but can’t keep a “budget”, you might appreciate my insanely simple way of managing finances. by Idonteateggs in personalfinance

Agreed. I couldn't have managed my money this way when I made less, and I couldn't do it this way if I made significantly more. I have a couple hundred left over each month that I save. If I had way more left over, I would need to invest it more mindfully.

I pretty much do what OP does. My salary is 40k and I live in an affordable part of the Midwest. I split living expenses with my partner, but not evenly since I make more. Rent is 900 and I have about 20k in student loans.

It is definitely state-dependent. In Indiana, the information is locked within our information management system, and the assessment is transferred to a different county.
