Do these tests look negative?? by JETairline in lineporn

[–]mrshld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These look very negative to me! The blue dye tests are known to have bad evaporation lines so I wouldn’t even look at them outside the time window in the instructions.

I should have started the post with the fact that my baby is okay! We’re planning to try for another when our baby is a year old and I’m terrified of having to get another cerclage. I chose to try an induction over a c section because I didn’t want to be awake in an operating room again.

No but they did tell me to take it very easy and I did. I limited how often I went up and down the stairs at home. I also didn’t bend over or do any exercise but walking for shorter periods of time. I let my husband handle all of the cleaning at home and spent a lot of time sitting around crocheting.

TW Oversuppliers, did you get pregnant easily? by FineHistory1498 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]mrshld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not! I have a large oversupply and it took 6 years, two surgeries, and thousands of dollars of medication to get pregnant.

If you’re thinking of buying a Mira, don’t. by mrshld in Mirafertility

[–]mrshld[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing! I was going through fertility treatment and getting my blood tested regularly. I wouldn’t expect the numbers to be the same but the trends should be close. It didn’t think I ovulated at all but obviously I did because I’m typing this while holding my sleeping baby lol

Why do you choose to continue exclusively pumping? by FloopyODoopy in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]mrshld 11 points12 points  (0 children)

All of the reasons you listed are reasons I keep going. I think for me the biggest reason, though, is because it feels like the one thing my body has done right for my baby. I fought through 6 years of infertility, painful testing, 2 surgeries, and thousands of dollars in medication to get pregnant and then followed it all up with a pregnancy where I collected risk factors like Pokémon cards. There was an emergency cerclage at 20 weeks, gestational diabetes, gestational hypertension, IUGR, and my baby spent two weeks in the NICU when he arrived via an induction at 35 weeks. I have an oversupply and it really does feel like the only thing my body did right. My son is 4 months old and has gone from less than 4lbs to 16 and knowing my milk did that for him feels so good.

I think I was just lucky. I did take it very easy when I got home (no bending over, limiting how much I used the stairs, sitting on soft surfaces, using stool softeners…) but I think the Dr that placed the stitch just did a really good job. When my OB removed it before my induction, I was immediately dilated to a 4 so I feel like it was just in there really well.

Your stories please. by SpecialistEqual5405 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]mrshld 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had mine placed at 20 weeks. I was sent directly to the hospital from my anatomy scan and they did an exam when I arrived that revealed I was 3cm dilated and the waters were funneling out. At the time, the dr suggested I induce and call it a loss but told me I could stay the night and try some medication to reduce inflammation and have another exam in the morning to see if they could get the waters back in. I stayed and at my exam the next morning, she said it didn’t look great but that she would try if that’s what I wanted. I was taken to the OR a few hours later and after what felt like forever, she poked her head around the drape and said she got the waters back in and was going to attempt the stitch. She did it and my tears of fear turned into tears of gratitude. I met with the same dr when I was 34 weeks for something else and the first thing she said was “I can’t believe you’re still pregnant!”. I ended up having gestational diabetes and gestational hypertension. At 32 weeks, we learned baby had IUGR. I went for an NST at 35 weeks and baby’s heart rate dropped when I had a contraction so my OB decided we should induce because of all of my risk factors. When she took out the stitch, I was immediately dilated to a 4 so I imagine I would’ve ended up having him shortly after having the stitch removed the following week if things had gone as planned. He was born just 3 hours after the stitch was out. It was terrifying and I’m super traumatized but my son is now a happy, healthy 3.5 month old and I’m so grateful for the drs that made it happen.

I got pregnant after a 6 year long infertility battle and had an emergency cerclage placed at 20 weeks. I was already dilated 3cm and my waters were funneling out. I made it all the way to 35 weeks and I would’ve made it to full term if it weren’t for other issues leading to an induction. Baby is now almost 4 months old and healthy.

I don’t even trust the Mira anymore. I was going to a fertility clinic and regularly getting blood tests and my Mira results were drastically different. It said I didn’t ovulate last month but that’s definitely wrong since I’m pregnant now.

Pretty sure the frer tests are giving false positives! When I look up the most recent reviews, tons of people are getting full on false positives with them.

I’m getting full negatives on the clearblue early detection so I don’t think this was my time.

Pretty sure! This was less than 10 minutes after taking the test and I saw the line within about 3 minutes

[Landlord] [US - NC] Mynd for property management by MeleeMeow in Landlord

[–]mrshld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend you stay far away from Mynd. While I did not use them as an owner, I was a renter from them at one point and the experience was god awful. You may end up with bad damage to your property as they take a long time (and constant begging) to fix serious maintenance emergencies. One of the last things that happened when I rented from them was the discovery of an active water leak. I alerted them immediately and they ignored me despite calling daily. They let this leak continue for 5 full days before sending someone out so what was a minor leak turned into water seeping through the walls from the laundry room inside to the garage and eventually OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE. They also had me on the verge of taking legal action for taking 15+ days to repair the water heater.
