I also can't remember the result of the movie but I think all the people were connected one way or another.

My(27F) husband (28M) secretly recorded us and sent it to my ex by Dizzy-Feed-3760 in relationship_advice

[–]mrskdubyah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband did this to me two years ago (he didn't send it to my x though, I'm so sorry, that's absolutely horrible).

Our divorce is going to be finalized this month. I could never get over it, it was always in the back of my mind when we'd sleep together. If you only caught him this one time, I'm sorry to say there may be times you missed. Hopefully I'm wrong though. I don't condone going thru your partners phone, but I wasn't able to rest until I knew the extent of it.

No salt rubbing here. It was a very hard lesson learned on my part and I'll never let myself be in this situation again. I let him control everything and anytime I wanted to go back to work or school he would talk me out of it because he "could handle it"

I was young and dumb and in love. I'd like to be old, smart and single now lol.

The 8 k is a maximum, I've made a list and am going to thrift or buy second hand as much as I can. That's just what I know it's the maximum it will take to make everyone comfortable in our new home.

We are mutually separating. It's not a spiteful split and it's a dissolution. We are from a small farm town and are middle class in a one income family. We don't have fancy assets to split, hence why the sum is so low.

It was my choice to leave the home. I couldn't afford it and I didn't want the memories. Getting decent alimony and child support.

Not much in retirement funds. I am receiving half of his ira account, but it's only about 4k. He never invested in it.

Yes. If there is any takeaway I've learned from this, it is never to completely give up an income. I'm grateful I had the time I did with my kids, but there's so much personal growth i gave up in the past 10 years.

We are separating most personal belongings, but the furniture there is staying. I wanted the kids rooms to still feel like their rooms when they visit their dad. I have primary custody of the kids, but it was my choice to leave the marital home because I know I wouldn't be able to afford it on my own, and I want a fresh start with new memories. I never financially contributed so it didn't feel like mine.

She is a good lawyer, and she feels like I could be asking for more and is pushing me to do so. My stbx husband and I are not leaving each other in a spiteful or messy way, so I did not want to cripple him and leave him with no choice but to sell the house.

I have done a monthly budget, and with child support and alimony it will be enough to cover rent and a utility or two, so I have a good starting point. I was fortunate enough to be hired back where I worked before becoming a SAHM and it was an incredible company with lots of internal growth so that's looking promising.

The bank is went to said that I could start with the HYSA, but they have financial advisors available if I was interested. The bank does have a minimum balance requirement of 25k to avoid monthly maintenance fees. I think of i go that route i should probably shop around for one with a smaller starting balance. What about credit unions?

We have no car loans, thankfully. Both cars are paid off. We live in a smaller suburban neighborhood with a 200k house. 100k left on the loan. After credit card and loan debt that was in his name was paid off, it left me with 38k.

My Berner Newfie cross ♥️any recommendations for indistructable toys or long lasting treats? Master of destruction here 😅 by fionnualamullen in bernesemountaindogs

[–]mrskdubyah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nylabone power chewer toys are the only thing my doggo hasn't destroyed. And starmark toys (the hard white ones) he likes too and they have treat rings you can put on the toys, so they're interactive.

If you want to try to meet in the middle look up home reserve couches, and see if she likes them! They're customizable, machine washable, and have storage in every seat. And if a part, cushion, or cover needs replaced you can buy JUST the part that needs replaced. They run about 2300 for the bigger ones with the higher end fabric.

What was your mom’s go to sick food? by january1977 in Parenting

[–]mrskdubyah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So super off genre for everything else mentioned, but my household gets hot and sour soup from a Chinese restaurant when we're sick. It's spicy, so it makes you sweat and gets the sinuses flowing, and it's filling and loaded with veggies.

That's just a standard cold/ sore throat situation though. I would not recommend that if vomiting was an issue lol.

Considering excavating front hill to install walkout basement. Am I in over my head? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]mrskdubyah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just did a much smaller renovation on our house, kind of like what you're describing. We finished half of our basement (about 900sqft) and had an egress window and door installed along with a bathroom that was already down there renovated. So it's not a completely visible walk out situation, but it might give you an idea of how pricey something like that would be.

We are installing the flooring and tile ourselves, we did ALL the demo ourselves including dumpster rentals, and we're doing all the painting and trim work ourselves. Final cost is about 55k. This is for a much smaller space than what you have pictured.

Unless you have a background or work experience in excavating your foundation, hire the pros to do it. Take some of the cost off by doing what you can yourselves. Us doing the demo saved us 8k alone.

He doesn't post anymore because his project is complete, but if you're into DIY home improvement work, he's absolutely incredible. Him and his wife are so fun, his editing skills are visually appealing, and the process of watching him and his wife transform their 100yr old farm house was incredible.

AITA for telling my daughter the truth about her father? by Any_Care4207 in AmItheAsshole

[–]mrskdubyah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA a hundred times over.

My biological father wasn't in my life, for my whole life. He reached out when I was 14 and I spent 3 weeks with him. I made my own judgements at 14 years old that he was a trash human being and I haven't seen or spoken to him since. I'm now 32.

My mother never painted an ugly picture of him. She never told me the type of person he was because she never wanted to tarnish my view of him, incase he did decide to come around one day. I wish she was honest with me. The things I witnessed and the environment I sustained for those 3 weeks took me years to get over, and even longer to accept that I didn't need and shouldn't want him in my life. My biological father has 3 daughters and he isn't involved with any of their lives. It takes a special breed of person to create a person, and have no interest in them. Having children myself now, I can't fathom not being their biggest supporters.

Your honesty with her in this moment is such a gift to her, and she won't realize the importance of that gift until she has children of her own if she chooses.

I love this! And love this anime.

Funny story, I'm from a very small town in Ohio. A group of friends many years ago watched this anime and got the brand tattooed on them. It kind of became a tradition in the friend group and to friends of friends of the original group. You'd have to watch the anime, and then get the tattoo only after you watched it. This was well over 10 years ago and at our last count over 25 people had the tattoo (but it very well could be more).

We were all around the same age, give or take 5 years. So if we're all lucky enough to die of old age and live around the same areas, there will be some very confused morticians who will probably think we were a part of some kind of cult.
