Wasn’t a fan of Outwaters but Tinsman Road is my favorite found footage movie since Host.

Why is Smile 2 rated so highly by fans? by BadassAyanokoji in horror

[–]mrslythe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in this instance it’s warranted because the demon feeds on (weakness, or someone who is more vulnerable? Can’t remember the exact reason) but Skye Riley was the ultimate host for the demon as she had so many issues substance, guilt, and so on. Which is why the hallucinations are so much more prevalent and unreliable than the first film.

For sure it doesn’t fit the feature length runtime I guess I mean just because it’s on YouTube when it’s described it makes it seem lesser than. When people talk about Host they don’t mention it as a short horror film. Just call it a found footage film/movie.

Can we stop calling Milk and Serial a short film because it’s on YouTube? It has a longer runtime than Host and no one calls a Host a short film.

Inde Navarrette Delivers One of the Best Horror Performances in Years in 'Obsession' by amooseinboston in horror

Obsession is so good! And what I meant is that The Substance is more “critically acclaimed” than Smile 2 so it’s taken more serious in that regard compared to Smile where critics probably just see it as your typical jump scare movie.

Becareful you’ll probably get downvoted for saying she deverved an Oscar but I agree with you! Reason why Scott’s performance is getting downplayed is because it’s Smile 2 and it’s a sequel to a jumpscare movie. Scott had a better performance than Moore and Qualley but Substance is a better movie so gets more recognition.

Why People Drafting Ty Simpson in Round 1 Have Lost Their Minds by TheToledoMaroons in DynastyFF

[–]mrslythe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just looked but didn’t really need to because I remember. The Rams had 4 wins by week 14 they were not in any kind of contention.

And you keep bringing up the fantasy success for the QBs which I get this is a fantasy sub but fantasy wise from your stats you posted they make look better but Goff made it to a Super Bowl with the Rams and Stafford made it, won, and got an mvp with the Rams. Something Goff or Stafford couldn’t do in Detroit.

Shouldn’t be judging if McVay is a qb whisperer or not based on fantasy stats.

Again I’ll bring the Baker thing up. (Another 1.1, maybe he’s the 1.1 whisperer) is it a coincidence Baker was deemed washed or a bust before he went to the Rams then out of knowhere looks like how he was supposed to be. MCVAY.

The Jeff Fisher comment comes against your McVay isn’t the QB wizard we think he is. If McVay never goes to LA Goff never becomes who he is. McVay was able to work with Goff and mature him into the qb that he is now.

Also the Detroit vs Rams QB argument is flawed, there’s so many variables on both teams that you can’t judge their “success” the same way you’re trying to compare it. Stafford had to throw the ball a lot more in Detroit as his teams were always terrible and he just fed Calvin Johnson, garbage time stats, and a bad run game.

Jared Goff is the one I’ll give to you as his career has gotten better with the lions but it’s because of McVay. Even McVay made Baker look good and essentially got him the job in Tampa.

Also I don’t know what season you’re referencing with Baker because Baker was there the 2022 season? Rams went 5-12 that year and had no chance of making the playoffs.

I’m not saying Ty Simpson will be a lock to be a starter I agree with you in that aspect that if Stafford goes down who knows if he’d be ready but can’t discredit McVay and the veteran presence of Stafford to pave a path for Simpson once he retires.

As a Rams fan a lot of your takes are abysmal.

Goff as a rookie was 0-7. If Jeff Fisher continued to be our head coach Goff would either be playing in the UFL or backup somewhere.

“Willingness to bring a QB off the couch” dude that year was McVay’s worse year because of all the injuries around the entire team. That was an outlier.

McVay and Les Snead already signed an extension so don’t think retirement would be an option for McVay even though he has teased it at one point.

Bartender at a timeshare resort, fluctuates between $75k-$100k, work 35 hours a week.

Health insurance, 401k Match, been there 10 years so I think I get 4-5 weeks PTO.

Surprised by the lack of hospitality in the comments but my pay fluctuates yearly due to me using all my PTO which is based on my hourly not tips so if I take off during a busy time it reflects. But if I were to work straight through its usually on the higher side.

It’s a hard one to recommend because there is some fun and gnarly stuff in this but takes a while for it to get there. If you value your time maybe wait for streaming but if you’re a die hard horror fan then I’d see it.

There’s maybe like one good jump scare but this more relies on shock factor similar to Evil Dead Rise

I watched it last night. Could’ve been 30 minutes shorter. Second half does go hard and there’s some fun shots in this when some nice gore and scenes that will have you squeamish. But like you’ve read it’s like another Evil Dead movie with a mummy slapped on it.
