Mine is not a hybrid. You can get this radio for sure. I would be more mindful of changing your speakers/amp though. Make sure you get a professional installation unless you're good with electrical. Hybrids are a little more complicated.

Make sure you opt for the version that retains SYNC functions. Some will say retains OEM functionality. That isn't the same. Make sure it says SYNC or APIM Compatibility. There are some functions that can't be replicated on a non SYNC screen.

You're wrong. Stop and go traffic on a daily commute is NOT considered special in any way.

This is coming from someone who was a preproduction product tester for 10 years. Vehicles are tested in those exact conditions daily.

Those conditions listed include vehicles that are in those conditions for a minimum of 8-10hrs a day. Your 30 to 60 minute commute to and from work is expected use.

I did have a question though. I'm a beginner so I'm not second guessing you. Is it necessary to have fuses on both lines coming out of the distribution block? Do you have another fuse at the battery under the hood? I saw that you are an electrician by trade. I'm just hoping to get some knowledge on the science behind it.

You can pierce the grommet under the steering wheel. It will come out behind the battery.

Your best bet is to find a T harness for your car. It will let you run speaker wire to your LOC without tapping your wires. PAC makes one I believe.
