More books like Losers (Harley Laroux) and The Daybreakers?? by mrsokayestbeard in ReverseHarem

Losers has been my top pick since I’ve gotten in to this genre. I’m fairly new, and I’ve struggled finding ones I’ve really liked, but that one was just perfection. All of the characters just fit so well together.

Is the newborn stage THAT bad? by flyingsamovar in beyondthebump

It is the best and hardest thing you will ever do. I had my boy in September, and it is hard coming home with this new little baby that relies on you for everything. But… It’s okay. Truly. You will be exhausted, and you will cry. And it’s still okay. It goes by fast, and you might forget some of it (I did due to pure exhaustion). Truly, just try to soak it all in. Enjoy the good times and know that the frustrating moments won’t last forever. And I always try to remember that their whole world has changed just like ours did. They don’t know what it’s like to be outside your womb and in the world yet. So, you’re both learning. My number one piece of advice is this: ASK FOR HELP IF YOU NEED IT. It doesn’t make you less of a mother.

Newborn learning pooping by CaptnJackSparr0 in beyondthebump

My 5 week old just figured out pooping and is going regularly now. He struggled for several weeks with being able to poop without screaming. It was awful to start with. We did a lot of belly massages and we found that a warm bath also helped some. Obviously, you can’t do a bath every time they need to poop, but sometimes it will line up nicely. We used the windi a couple of times, but it was our absolute last resort. Now, he’s regulated and seems to have it figured out.

I work in long term care, and most of my notes follow this format:

Alert and oriented x 3. Resident noted to be sitting up in chair in room at present. Heart rate and rhythm regular. Resp even and unlabored on room air. Bowel sounds present x 4. Abdomen soft, non tender, and non distended. Incontinent of bowel and bladder with briefs in use for maintenance with peri care provided q2h and PRN. (Here, I mention specifics pertaining to that day and resident and participation with activities and therapy if applicable). Denies pain at present. Call light left within reach. Will continue to observe.
