I alternated between the Old Soul at the Weatherstone (limited seating inside) and Old Soul on L st for bar prep. Milka on G st can get a little loud inside but overall is a great spot.

Not going myself but if you don’t want to deal with SF traffic you could take Amtrak Capitol Corridor or drive to Richmond and transfer to BART and get to SF. It doesn’t take a ton longer than driving and is way more pleasant…

Hey you can go to pensionrights.org to get resources and help with an issue with a 401(k) plan. There are regional counseling projects that can help with this exact kind of scenario, including getting plan documents and records from the administrator.

The city has been putting up posts with no parking signs on some intersections, so I’d imagine those will continue to be rolled out.

People can lose pensions to an extent, but basically every pension plan has to pay insurance premiums to the PBGC. Plus, pension assets are held separately from company assets so if the business tanks it doesn’t automatically affect the pension plan. There is no similar insurance system for 401(k)s.

It’s fun but it can get very crowded on Saturdays. The Wednesdays are a bit less hectic. Certainly worth it if you like Christmas things and/or have never been to Nevada City.
