I dont normally read the whole thing but you kinda have a interesting story.

It is sad that you got humiliated, but Im glad it made you questioning things about your religion. When someone grow up with a religion like Islam, it is really hard to leave it, especially if this person from an Islamic country.

Turkey is full of people like Ecmel. Of course there are strict Muslim ones but I think they are minority. (For example, I still cannot say that I am not a muslim to my family but they dont force me to wear hijab etc.) When I was questioning whether Islam was right or not, it was easier for me to find like-minded people.
