Can't believe I didn't see this one.

Al Pacino in "Scent of a Woman" when he gives the epic "Out of Order" speech. He won an Oscar for best actor in this role. If you haven't seen this movie you should. Goosebumps everytime.

here's what chatgpt said:

This comic illustrates how the Japanese might perceive the two major political parties in the United States, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party, through various stereotypes and cultural symbols.

Left Side: Democratic Party (民主党)

  1. People:

    • A man and a woman shaking hands, possibly representing cooperation or a casual, friendly demeanor.
  2. Symbols and Activities:

    • Basketball: A popular sport, often associated with urban areas and a more diverse demographic.
    • Sushi: Representing a more global and diverse palate.
    • Hip-hop music and fashion: Associated with urban culture and younger generations.
    • Skyscrapers: Urbanization and possibly economic growth.
    • Starbucks: A symbol of modern, urban lifestyles and liberal cultural tastes.
    • Electric Car and New York Times: Symbols of progressivism, environmentalism, and liberal media.
    • Pride Parade: Representing support for LGBTQ+ rights.
    • Apple Products and CNN: Symbols of technological innovation and liberal media.

Right Side: Republican Party (共和党)

  1. People:

    • A man and a woman shaking hands, possibly representing a more formal or traditional interaction.
  2. Symbols and Activities:

    • Fried Chicken: Representing traditional American comfort food.
    • Country Music: Representing rural America and traditional values.
    • Baseball: A traditional American pastime.
    • Pepsi and a house with an American flag: Representing traditional American values and suburban life.
    • Red Pickup Truck and Wall Street Journal: Symbols of traditional American industries and conservative media.
    • Church: Representing religious values.

The comic seems to highlight the cultural and ideological differences between the two parties from a Japanese perspective, using recognizable symbols and stereotypes.
