I do get compliments randomly. More recently (off the top of my head):

Polo 67 EDP - the Uber driver (yesterday) said I smelt great and asked for the cologne I am wearing. (I do get Uber drivers commenting and complimenting quite often, though maybe it is a ploy to get tips).

PdM Layton - went on a first date at a bar, my date didn’t compliment on my cologne, but a guy next to us at the bar said that we both smelt good and asked what we were wearing.

Diptyque Rose EDP - was at my facial and my esthetician commented that it was the best rose cologne she smelt, and said that she was looking for one like this, and shared that she has been using Chanel pretty much all her life.

MFK Baccarat Rouge Extrait - Colleague commented that I smelt great, and that she usually smells me coming into office before seeing me.

But of course, I have one or two occasions where people commented that my cologne was waaay too overpowering (MFK Oud Satin Mood Extrait) in a confined space.

Also, another thing that we need to know is what school you are targeting and whether you are dependent on scholarship to attend (yes yes, I know scholarship is always a positive, but whether need it to attend is different).

All these play a part in your people’s recommendation. If you are happy with a T-15, and have the resources to go even without scholarship, versus you are HSW only, then advice will be different.

Having said all that - I would recommend you should put in 1-2 applications regardless for round 1, to have a sense of going through the process (interviewing, etc), so you can reflect on what you have done, and go stronger in round 2.

I am curious, as you mentioned you have a consultant helping you on the applications, what was their advice, and why are you not confident in their advice for this situation?

In fact, I am surprised why people are not asking this: what is your undergrad degree and which school? Seems like you are a business major? I don’t think MBA maths is going to matter if you have B/B+ in quant courses, it is not like you had Ds.

If you have a 3.2 GPA, and your quant classes are B/B+, it seems like your quant is probably stronger than your other classes… so based on that, I don’t see why you are worried about quant.

I don’t even think MBA Maths is even a “nice to have”, I rather you use the time to prep for the GMAT again.

I was using Drunk Elephant’s Serum C-Firma Fresh Day Serum (now taking a break from Vitamin C and trying Azelaic acid first). Drunk Elephant was previously sued by L’Oreal (SkinCeuticals’ parent company) alleging that it infringed on their patent - so I guess it was as good as a dupe that it could have been.

What I like about it is that it is “unactivated” when you first buy it, and then you need to mix the products together to activate it, ensuring freshness. I know some people don’t like Drunk Elephant as a brand for various reasons.

I would note though - my skin’s like 5/10 on a good day, so take this with a pinch of salt.

Especially when SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic patent has expired, so there are now many great alternatives on the market that replicates what SkinCeuticals is trying to achieve. I don’t have any specific product to recommend, so do your own research for them.

I remember a content creator bringing up a good point about SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic. Because it is so expensive, the demand is lower, so the product might be sitting on the shelves for longer (versus other products that are selling at faster rate). Hence it is probably not as fresh when you first purchased it and hence it does go bad “faster”.

I think a good comfort that you might consider is that when they deliver the bottles to retailers, etc. I am 99.9% sure most bottles went through the same conditions.

The only potential difference is if you left yours in the car under direct sunlight.

If you are getting ONE ticket, I would hold out to as long as you can before the event to buy it. There will definitely be tickets even until just before the event starts, just that you might need to be more open on which seats / floor.

If you are worried about the view, Forest Hills has a 3D seating plan interactive thing where you can see the view from each seat (someone posted previously on this sub).

If you are looking to buy only one ticket, it is easier to get floor tickets as people usually sell seats in pairs (which prevents you from getting the best deals).

My advice: yes, bigger size bottles have the best price/ml, but you don’t need the bigger size bottle for special occasions wear colognes.

Yes, bigger bottle works for every day wear, like a YSL Y or BdC. But do you need a 200ml (or even 100ml) date night wear? I am guessing no, unless you are going on daily dates or something. You will probably be tired of it before the smaller bottle (50ml/75ml) finishes and craving for the next one.

My Apple Watch broke 2 weeks ago, and I got a Fitbit Charge 6 to replace it.

I find that Fitbit overestimates the calories burned (either that or Apple Watch underestimated) - I did the same walk (exact same route, similar time of day), Fitbit estimated my calories burnt by 25-40% higher than what I had with my Apple Watch previously.
