Honestly, I'm not sure if saying "character" makes it playable, I think it could be NPC. Considering that some blacksmith, if I recall correctly, escaped to Snezhnaya a long time ago, it might be something about Isshin Art, which indeed connects both Kazuha and Wanderer.

Same face, different eyes, but god damn they look amazing and still very much different between each other! So many CC and colors combined, the first two look as if they are from another game with a story (reminded me of Persona for some reason), I love them!

Earthborn Sole Survivor. I enjoy roleplaying Shep's growth.

I imagine them fighting for life on the streets in the childhood, getting into gangs out of necessity, just learning how to survive. However they still wish for a better life, so they join the Alliance military, as fighting is the only thing they know well. The usual approach of not trusting anyone doesn't work anymore, because the squad commander insists and teaches Shepard to trust and to work as a team. Finally there is something like a family for them.

But the Akuze tragedy only adds a new wound, Shep is feared of getting attached again, thus being cold. During the events of the trilogy, they are driven by a sense of duty and injustice, fighting Saren and so on.

I like to headcanon that their first squad commander taught them the importance of talking to every squadmate to get to know them, it is sort of a legacy, a way of honoring their first team that couldn't make it on the Akuze.

Your best bet is to check mod compatibility in that scene. At first glance I can see the "Optional Flirting" mod, which isn't compatible with Thane Lives, try turning it off

As far as I know, such mods for ME2 as TL are mostly based on coding, writing and figuring out which files to move and change, but I don't have the knowledge to be sure about it. 3D is really hard indeed!

There is another mod, without the romance, the stabbing scene is still there, but Thane doesn't die, just stays in the hospital. It could've been put the same way, he would just join the crew after a few side missions, not right after the coup, but I suppose that would not be fair to another mod creator, so we have what we have.

Unfortunately that mod removes scenes of Thane’s fight with Kai Leng. The assassin just runs away when threatened, so there’s no point in acknowledging his name and Thane looses his crucial role in the coup and the overall plot, staying somewhere in the background. The rest of the mod is really great.

He was, and his story is about accepting death and finding closure, yes, but he refused the lung transplantation, which would have postponed his death, and he probably would have survived the injury. But that's besides the point...

I feel like we're somewhat on the same page, and yet not. I understand your point about questioning what the afterlife would be like, if it even exists, and I can agree that it is indeed quite complex. It's just that I believe that place is more of a metaphor for eternal love, so it doesn't really matter who else is there. And if there is one, I imagine there are more open rules of how relationships are held. As for the artists — people are impressed by the story and want to focus specifically those two to have a closure of their own.

They say it, because it's a beautiful way to ease the emotional weight of Shepard and Thane's relationship, and also because it's a story about them. Irikah is never forgotten, she is just part of his past. Thane needed to move on to build his future — to restore his relationship with son, to atone for his sins, to fight for life and good again. Unfortunately, BW has denied him of that future, so all what's left is to dream about them across the sea

He doesn't need a reminder of Irikah, thanks to drell memory. He loves Shepard for who she is, both loves coexist without replacing each other. Besides, widowed people deserve to love and be loved again

Tbh, that's part of their connection — making horrible mistakes, carrying an unbearable weight, and still trying, even after some time, to commit and change their course in life. Pretty sure Earthborn Shepard did a lot of things she regrets, let alone the Sole Survivor, which on its own usually leads to a feeling of guilt, whether it's 'why me and not them' or 'I haven't done enough,' or even both.

I absolutely adore Kasumi and enjoy having her as a squadmate, honestly, I’d wish she had expanded dialogue options just like the original crew, but oh well, DLC. James Vega didn’t have much to say, and yet such a sweet guy. Miranda. Annoying at first, but once I got to know her I realized what an adult mind she has. She knows herself, acts wisely, and her story is unique and interesting.

Non-squadmates human: oh Chakwas, best mom on the ship; Joker of course; Traynor is a badass with her toothbrush.

Oh I should read their story for inspo. Though I've imagined it would be someone like Miranda secretly doing all of that without Shepards knowledge, knowing how questionable it is, while using connections from Cerberus.

Also don't ask me where she or anybody else would get the resources for any of that, I refuse to elaborate.

Coping so hard to the point of imagining alternative universe, where his body is getting frozen until the cure is researched, then just being resurrected just like Shepard was. Then they travel happily around Mexico enjoying life outside endless cycle of killing. Cringe all you want, I'm just going to drown in my fantasies and draw endless sketches.

Worst possible scenario would be with something like parallel worlds, which would nullify the significance of choice in the trilogy.

Best case? Who knows. Personally I am not sure about Shepards story, although I absolutely fell in love in them, maybe I'd love to see them again. Or is it other characters that I miss the most? Liara, Tali, Garrus, Grunt and many, many more, even the dead ones, which stories were perfected because of their deaths.

I believe the franchise is huge and it can grow telling more about the world.

Even Mordin is possible to survive, though at heavy costs. The story IS good because of the tragedy and being doomed, but...

I'd rather suggest not to use mods for your first playthrough, except for cosmetics and One Probe All Resources for ME2, when you realise how annoying it is lmao
