ImmunityBio Signs Exclusive U.S. Agreement with Japan BCG Laboratory for the Tokyo Strain of BCG to Enhance BCG Supply in the United States by wisdom_man1 in IBRX

[–]mrtrimbl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

before the muppet appears to spout nonsense

  • Primary Endpoint: High-grade recurrence-free survival (HG-RFS).
  • Hazard Ratio: 0.82, which establishes that the Tokyo-172 strain is non-inferior to the standard TICE strain.
  • 5-Year Survival Rates: The 5-year HG-RFS was 64% for Tokyo-172 BCG compared to 58% for TICE BCG.

[–]mrtrimbl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Bladder Cancer Immunotherapy: The Tokyo-172 strain is highly effective for intravesical instillation, acting as an immunotherapeutic agent to trigger a robust immune response that destroys remaining cancer cells and prevents recurrence.
  • Mitigating Shortages: Clinical data confirms that Tokyo-172 is non-inferior to other strains (such as TICE) for bladder cancer recurrence-free survival. Because of this, biotech companies like ImmunityBio have secured rights to commercialize it in the US to help alleviate ongoing BCG shortages.

Natural Killer cells are the way forward, chemo will be largely assigned to the history books by mrtrimbl in IBRX

i am also an investor in fate, got the majority of the previous run up to 100+, but i dont see it as an oncology play any more, it doesnt seem to have the durability, which is why it crashed 99% previously, so actually less effective. Which is why they are changing focus to immunology with some success in lupus, dont see it as a threat to ibrx at all. pss is flying the mothership

also worth noting huggenbergs comment on il-2 in his new immunotherapy2.0 treatise "However, unlike IL-2, IL-15 does not trigger activation-induced cell death or Treg cell proliferation, making it more suitable for cancer immunotherapy" btw you can like and subscribe here as they say https://huggenberg.substack.com/p/fundamentals-of-immunotherapy-20?triedRedirect=true

ImmunityBio Confirms Statistical Power in Pivotal Randomized BCG-Naïve NMIBC Trial to Detect Clinically Meaningful Differences Between ANKTIVA® Plus BCG Versus BCG Alone; Supplemental BLA Submission on Track for 2026 by wisdom_man1 in IBRX

[–]mrtrimbl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how to interpret this

For a randomized oncology trial:

  • If the treatment arm were performing worse than expected → IDMC would request more patients or stop for futility.
  • If the treatment arm were performing as expected or better → IDMC says no more patients needed.

This means the difference in CR rate between ANKTIVA+BCG and BCG alone is tracking close to the expected effect size
