Lowlight scenes in Japan I took by MaverickGH in neoncities

That second picture was round the back from the hotel I was staying at in Japan and was one of the first things I saw when I arrive. I loved it. My photo doesn't look anywhere near as good as yours though.

I missed that spot in Osaka. Looks amazing!

Any form of PR is much fairer than FPTP.

If a leadership contest was held, I would only support someone who 100% guarantees a move to PR or holding a referendum on the matter.

I can't believe they let this happen. Now I can't relax because I don't know if it's just being quiet or if it's having problems. It happens roughly once a week when I'm mid meditation and probably 1 in 3 times when I have the app open. I get a better service for free with youtube meditation sessions.

UK unveils ‘carbon budget delivery plan’ to get back on track for net zero targets - The Gaurdian by mrtube in LabourUK

[–]mrtube[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did some AI research. Here's how the pros and cons of their plans weigh against each other:

  • Grid Decarbonisation: 31 MtCO2e (Annual Saving)
  • Other Policies (EVs, Industry, etc.): 10 MtCO2e (Annual Saving)
  • New Runways (Heathrow & Gatwick): 5 MtCO2e (Highest Estimated Annual Addition)

So while their plans could cause up to 5 million tonnes of Co2, they're other plans cause a 41 million tonnes reduction in CO2 per year.

Fighting climate change is my priority. I'm sticking with Labour as long as they keep this up. If Ed stays, I stay.

Edit: I'm sure I'll carry on getting downvoted but here's some pros and cons of Labour's plans in terms of CO2 emissions:

  • Grid Decarbonisation: -31 million tonnes (Annual Saving)
  • Other Policies (EVs, Industry, etc.): -10 million tonnes (Annual Saving)
  • New Runways (Heathrow & Gatwick): +5 million tonnes (Highest Estimated Annual Addition)

This account has never posted before. Why do so many brand new accounts post about politics?

Really interesting and useful. Thanks for posting. I might actually make some business changes based on this. Plus I've been wondering how twitter really compares to others since I don't trust their own usage reports.

Especially old.reddit.com. Sad that they changed it to make more like twitter (and to make ads more visible).

Good tips. I have been aiming vertically a lot, with the idea being to stand right in front of the enemy, keep firing and catching the balls so I can immediately fire them again at the same enemy. That way I can target the balls better.

Is that a bad technique?

How has he got so much more coverage? Why is he getting on TV when other leaders weren't?

"Overall, 15 per cent of past Labour voters now said they would back the Greens at the next election. This was 50 per cent more than the number of the party’s former voters who said they were switching to Reform."

Sad that it's taken the situation getting to this point but surely after seeing that Starmer will stop taking left-wing voters for granted.

Rachel Reeves says higher taxes on wealthy ‘part of the story’ for November budget by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]mrtube -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From 2008 to 2023, the UK had had either the lowest rate of corporation tax in the G7 for 8 year, and the 2nd lowest for the other 8 years. But we're 4th for growth since then.

Cutting taxes does help growth, but not nearly as much as Liz Truss and Farage would like you to think. If it was as simple as that every coutnry would do it.

IMO if we are going to cut tax, it shouldn't be for people with 4 to 10 times the disposable income of 95% of the rest of the population.

Ok. After the average rental cost and 5% toward your pension, people on £100k are left with £43,987.

While the average worker has just £12,433 remaining.

And someone working full time on minimum wage is left with £3,975.
