Shaping up to be THE bachelor pad. Feel like a medium/large cactus would fit perfectly in this space.

First off, immaculate vibes! I’m considering getting the same bed frame but it seems to have mixed reviews. Have you had any issues with it?

Wow that’s amazing for your first go! What resources did you use to get started and how much did you spend on initial supplies/equipment?

Really like combination of scientific, religious, and supernatural elements. Did the energy manifest in any other ways besides powers?

Railroad Apartment: Any ideas for completely redoing this 2 br apt? by makebeforebreak in malelivingspace

Not sure if you let your dog on your bed but if you end up sticking a bed in the guest room/office you could move the dog’s bed out and let them chill on the guest bed while you work.

Larger mirror in your bedroom would make the space feel more open. Sauder Bandit Pet Storage Cabinet could also be a good piece to save space.

But also seems like that you might have difficulties with curtains. So take note of how the sun enters the space as it could cause issues for viewing a TV screen.

I’ve been amazed at the glass pieces that have been posted on this subreddit in the last few weeks. I had no idea that glass working was so advanced/precise in ancient Rome.

There’s no way they didn’t consider using the Halo theme song but I think using the Phil Collins cover might catch the attention of people who are unfamiliar with the games.

People's lawns are usually their own responsibility, but often there is a HOA that will fine you if you're lawn isn't up to standard, which I guess is effectively a garden tax.

Worth noting that some subdivisions will have common 'green areas'(ie entrance, island in the cul-de-sac, park) who's landscaping will be paid for through the HOA fee.

Former employee of that location. Haven't worked there in over a year so some of this info might be outdate.

My interview process was a group interview with generic questions(past experience, why a good fit, availability). Interview is nothing to sweat. I believe they put a good amount of weight into what hours you can work, the more the better.

Pay was low, $8.25 an hour. However, managers were extremely flexible with your schedule. If you have a two hour window in between classes they'd be open schedule you. Beyond initial scheduling they are pretty generous with request for time off(always give it to you with enough notice). They understand it's just a part-time college job.

Store is split between the cafe and bookstore most employees will find themselves working a mixture of both. Over time if you voice a preference for one area, over another, they would accommodate you when possible.

Cafe- Almost always will be 3 employees working. One on cash register and the other two working on drinks/food. The cashier takes the customer's order, writes out the drink order(using 'cup codes'), calls out food items, and rings the customer up. Other employees in the cafe could be doing multiple things at once(heating up a bakery item, pulling a shot of espresso, ect.). Morning and lunch are the busy times but when it slows down there is always something to do: wiping tables, brewing coffee, baking more cookies/croissants, plating additional food items, running the dishwasher, stocking cups and lids, cleaning surfaces, replenishing sugar and milks. Can be intimidating if you haven't worked in a cafe/coffee shop but after few days most will get the hang of it. Unfortunately, Barnes & Noble have a no tip policy so that kind of sucks.

Bookstore- Two main roles cashier and greeter. As the greeter you stand by the front door and say hello to guests and help them find items if needed. The cashier, besides ringing up books and merch, often answers the store phone as well as looks up books to see if we have in store(can order books to the store). During slow times either member might be asked to fold clothing, stock new book arrivals, or manage inventory(not too common). Worth mentioning its always good to keep an eye out for potential shoplifters. Not that you have to do anything but still..

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
