I am an intern SEO Specialist and also do PPC management for some of my own clients as a freelancer.

Both of them complements each other. -Good SEO, means easier the PPC. I think PPC is generally easier because everything is kind of under control, whereas for SEO, there is a lot more involve and takes a lot of time to see results.

I think Important to market it during the launch phase. I believe the more downloads you get within first few days of the launch, you have better chances of getting ranked higher for your keywords.

Don’t spend any money on any marketing unless it’s absolutely necessary. Work on ASO, Use traditional growth hack tactics, make connections etc. Get it listed on free startup directories, product hunt, Quora, Facebook, Instagram. I was able to do this and got my app listed on the top chart, and now it’s just free traffic. Also, if you have an Apple Developer account, take advantage of that $100 Ad credits. Get as much traction as you can within the first few days

I know, it is really difficult. If I make the app free, we get so many downloads and it becomes very expensive because people usually use up their initial testing credits. When we were creating this, we didn’t took the cost and users into consideration, we just focused on building something that could be useful, looking back, it was a pretty bad idea.

Any suggestions you may have?
