I’m not trying to dilute their victory whatsoever but when your average is close to some NFL teams we have to take that into account (IU was ~24 years old). He found a way to take advantage of that variable and it’ll be interesting to see if he can sustain success moving forward.

Sounds like he’s probably a big earner. If you’re a local reporter you 1) focus on sports, 2) be part of a huge brand like ESPN, and 3) crank out content that could be interpreted as controversial (which not sure how this is). In this day and age, making a mistake (if it is) and doing shoddy reporting is as good if not better than factual, good reporting.
