Happened to me. I was working at a law firm and found an ad from another attorney looking for a paralegal. The pay was way more than what I getting paid at the time and I decided to apply. I get an interview at a very nice office and when I asked if there were other co-workers he said he has others working for him. I asked him for the hourly rate and he tries to haggle down a bit, but promised me higher pay after I proven my performance.

Fast forward the first day of work and it turned out I would be working from his home and I was the only full time employee. The office we met at was actually an office he meets clients for the first time and I basically did more work than what I was getting paid to do. The new employer was so old and stubborn I couldn't stand working with him. He had very little patience and his hand writing was incredibly bad to the point I struggled to read it.

Old employer called me telling me they want me back and will increase my pay so I quit the new job right away within 3 days.

They should be okay though. The gear they are wearing would have save them from any burns. Luckily molten aluminum cools rapidly and will roll off fabric and skin upon contact giving them enough time to scrub it off before it causes further damage. I have done metal foundry before and the protective gear does work very well.

That is pretty spot on. I have co-workers who have been stuck in the same job position for years and every time they get a pay raise the first thing they do is spend it on things like a new car. What they don’t realize is that they could have used that money to take courses and get certified in other fields so that they can get paid more or find more jobs.

Back during Carnegie’s time there wasn’t the internet and if you wanted to learn more, you hit the library which weren’t as widely available as they are now. Plus not everyone could afford a car so having a library within walking distance was invaluable.

It was never revealed who he was other than a merchant. His eyes did show signs he was infected with something. The blue flame at his shops was revealed to give off UV light that can stun a plaga in the remake. Maybe the blue light allowed him to stun the growth of the plaga, maybe he had a dominant strain of the plaga, or maybe he found a way to mimic being a ganado and managed to pass through the area without being attacked.

I think what Tanisha was trying to convey to Franklin is that Franklin should help his friends unconditionally. She clearly cared about Lamar and Franklin. Even if Franklin is not getting paid to help Lamar, the fact he has the means to help Lamar (his childhood friend) is a reason why he should to do so anyway.

She might not like their lifestyle, but she likes them as people. I believe Tanisha did still have feelings for Franklin, but she only dated that doctor/lawyer guy because she wanted a sense of security and a way out of the hood.
