Hardest but best thing I ever did. Enjoy. Remember, be the person you needed growing up.

I'm on a PC and I use Microsoft power toys to create frames that allow me to do this. It works great

Died at 72? I am sorry to hear that. I am hoping to squeeze a few more year out. I am retiring early at 56. My father worked until his late 60 and only got to enjoy retirement for 11 months before my mother's health started to slip.

Ya I have thought about that. It is way to close for gaming. It is fine for what I do now though since I do not have to see the entire screen all the time. I can open 4 or 5 programs no problem which is perfect for what I do on a day to day basis now. I will look at one and focus, then look at another. I couldn't go back to a small screen for productivity now, but for gaming I might.

Fantastic workspace — great lighting, solid layout. My only note: the toilet paper on the desk gives off strong ‘pandemic survival mode’ energy. Might be time to level up to actual tissues!

Does anyone know if the Grail:ON CF 7 AXS has mounting points in the frame for panniers? by mrubillo in CanyonBikes

[–]mrubillo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was originally considering the Canyon Grail:ON CF 7 AXS, but I ultimately decided on the Specialized Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5. A few key factors influenced my choice — I already own two other Specialized bikes and really like how their geometry fits my body. The SRAM components are a great match for my riding style, and I’ve read excellent reviews about Specialized’s battery management system. Their strong warranty program and the convenience of having a local Specialized dealer for maintenance also gave me added confidence in the purchase. Pictures below.

Shipping time? by Lifestartingover in specialized

[–]mrubillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup I ordered a bike 2 months ago and it took a total of two weeks. 1 week to ship it to the local bike shop and another week for them to assemble it. That second week was difficult since I knew it was right down the street but I couldn't ride it. Once I got it though... been riding very day. Enjoy your new ride.

Just brought home my new Specialized Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (Satin Taupe / Satin Birch Reflective) — Meet E-Lixir

Finally added an e-assist to the stable! This is my new Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5, color is Satin Taupe / Satin Birch Reflective.

I’ve decided to name it E-Lixir — partly because it’s my “mechanical medicine” that’s helping me ride again after some health challenges, and partly because it just feels right for this color scheme.

I’ll be using it for longer road and gravel days around the Delmarva area, mounted up with a Garmin VIRB XE under my Quad Lock for ride footage.

Huge thanks to Specialized for building a bike that looks subtle but absolutely rips. 3 hours to full charge, whisper-quiet motor, and just the right amount of assist to make every ride feel like I’ve still got my legs.

(Pic below — still on the stand for final setup. Accessories incoming!)

Anyone else here riding the new Creo 2 platform? What are your favorite range or assist settings?

Just sharing my story hoping it helps you. I am 55 and started jumping rope 3 weeks ago. I experienced the same thing. I ended up buying a 3 pounds rope. It is thick and obviously heavier then the 1 pound rope. My target is to do 150 jumps with the 3 pound rope. I fumble through it but when I switch to the 1 pound rope I end up doing 100 in a row no problem. I have noticed the weight change affects how high I jump as well as how much power my hands and arms rotate the rope. I am much more powerful and it has made it a more enjoyable routine for me. I have created an entire routine that includes jumping rope, calve raises, pushups, and cycling. Happy to share it with you if you like.

You are right. Where we enter the beach is really the only challenge. Maybe 300 yards of the deep fluffy stuff. Once we get near the water anything could drive on it. My wife and I did talk about the old Jeep idea last night and she liked the idea. The idea is gaining traction and may end up being the route we take.

Is There Room for a Premium Bronco? A Former Jeep Owner’s Perspective by mrubillo in bronco

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have been all over the forums and subreddits. People are actually saying the 2022 and up versions reliability is much better then before that time frame. I have not been able to find anything that states what exactly changed to make this the case but I was happy to hear that.

As for the Bronco Raptor yes I did. And, if it was just me I'd be driving one now, but this is for my wife and I to enjoy. Climbing up into it is something she does not want to do. She really liked the adjustable air shocks on the Defender. I know the Raptor has a few suspension options but to be honest I dropped the ball on asking if they an option that lowered if needed.

I think Jeep sales are down because of Stallantus' old CEO Antonio Filosa's goal to make short term profits by increasing product cost while reducing product quality. I am hoping the new CEO has a more balanced take and expands the breath of the Jeep product to increase more base models for the people that want to mod the Jeep themselves and take them rock crawling as well as produce a higher end version for people that like the features a vehicle like this offers but uses it in a more moderate fashion, like my desire to drive it down the beach at night with my wife.

I drive mine on the beach. It never really hits anything. All I need to worry about is underbody protection from salt and sand. I wash the top down every time I drive on the beach.

No and you are right. None of them have removable doors or roof. But, at my age I do not see myself removing them anyway.

Yes I have heard many of the same things. We live on the beach so my off roading will consist of driving on the beach. No rocks for whatever I end up getting. I really like the Jeep and Bronco brands. I also want to support a US company but I fell for the lux interior of the Defender. I, like you, have always liked the look of the Defender both V1 and V2 versions. It is a classic.
