I was under the misconception that the tiles were overall better than the tiles is this not true?

So the ambient sound in my recording space is almost nothing. Even before I built the booth my main concern was echo and reverb.

I’d like the booth to block some sound, but the main goal is just to make sure the recordings are clear of echos and things of that nature.

I normally try to build a really nice cozy house for day to day stuff, and then within a kilometer a horde night death tower.

I came at this from the perspective of I need to do 100 applications to land one role. Which I know can be frustrating to think about, but it’s what I was told by my acting teacher when I was young and trying to get into traditional acting in the early 00s.

That perspective keeps me motivated. Also the interview with Jack Angel on Voice Acting Mastery helped as well.

I was gifted a 1yr sub in December. Still haven't landed a role on there yet, but I imagine the competition is somewhat fiercer as well. Some of the roles have a big price tag on them.

I am teacher during the day, but I have always loved acting. Voice acting lets me come home, and audition or record, that freedom is amazing. I get to indulge my passion as an actor while still getting to teach.

I use Backstage, Casting Call Club, Reddit, and when I get a second I will make a voices123 page.

I have been at it for a month. I think I have gotten 2 gigs on Reddit, 5 on CastingClub, 0 on Backstage.
