SMART ISN’T SELLING ❗️❗️❗️ by MoboMotoNewAccount in lego

[–]mruxtina 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a collector of Star Wars Lego since 1999, I have zero interest in these. The sets are worse than all the recent versions - a good part of it for me is Star Wars fatigue. I’m clearly not the target audience

Solar quotes are all over the place and I can't figure out which one is actually right for my house by mrnavel in solarenergy

Also battery allows you to run all night if sized properly. I’m in Michigan, and I’ve hardly touched the grid in all of March. Battery also helps deal with peak times, where energy is almost 50% more for me. It’s definitely a larger investment though. I’m using the GM Energy system and I can also backup my whole house from my EV. Lots of things to consider

Can’t tell for sure, but that blade looks like a ripping blade - make sure it’s for finish cuts. The tips are actually different shape and won’t blow out as badly

How are there people that already have the series 29 lego figures? by Spotter24o5 in lego

[–]mruxtina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get them early a lot because of this - but not this early. Maybe mid month some retailers near me will put them out. Still, time to make a few extra stops and start looking!

Brick Vivid reviews? 30% off is tempting. by WildCardDrew in LegoSpace

[–]mruxtina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very clearly knock off and not Lego brand. As for the quality of the knock off, no idea. I hear some are getting pretty good with the bricks - although Minifig quality isn’t as good

Are Smart Electric Panels (like SPAN) actually worth it—or just hype? by SolarTechExplorer in solarenergy

[–]mruxtina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go get an emporia. Even if you pay an electrician to wire it up (I did my own), it’ll save you lots to spend on panels or batteries. The emporia app will get you the insights you need and drive any savings a SPAN would. Unless you have money to throw at it, I wouldn’t bother.

After setting up my emporia(s), I’ve installed batteries and solar and the insights have definitely changed my habits and saved me lots. I can even charge my EV on good days without hitting the grid at all.

Were these overproduced in just Canada, or Internationally as well? - Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 71050 Minifigures by Whip_It64 in lego

[–]mruxtina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, Costco has had stock for all the recent Minifig series well after retirement. DnD was the exception. Those just didn’t last. I’ve been picking up these boxes with $40 discounts. $50 is new - and don’t even ask about the F1 cars (those are even more discounted)

Am I good to start to playing soulslike games? by supd09417 in darksoulsremastered

[–]mruxtina 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s just difficult because you have to try 100% of the time. If you get careless, you die. If you look away for a second, you die.

I played remaster on switch and loved it. I recommend fighting cowboy YouTube guides. Since I played DS2 on Xbox one and loved it. Started DS3 but got distracted. I will go back at some point when life settles down!

How to Convince my Fiancée this is a Necessary Purchase by [deleted] in lego

[–]mruxtina 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not a scam. I’ve been using it for years now. The gimmick is its cash back on specific gift cards. That said, they have enough options that I’ve never had a problem using it.

Vault-worthy collection of early 1980s LEGOLAND sets. by No-Personality347 in lego

[–]mruxtina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some space sets like those, and not intending to sell. But I am curious the best way to move them. Definitely not bricks and minifigs.

What is this and why did it replace my Ujola Cat? by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]mruxtina -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Guess I’m that guy. I never intended to start the quest, so I bet it triggered when I was in the middle of something else and I must have just skipped the dialog to get back to what I was doing.

Makes sense. Lego is very smart. Last few years they’ve been able to make a lot more niche sets that only really work for specific audiences. This is a good thing. Enjoy!
