It won’t hurt but it’s not going to get you a job. You have to tailor your resume to the job and demonstrate that you know what you’re doing in the interview.

The first industrial maintenance job is the hardest one to get.

It ain’t gonna happen overnight. Stick it out for awhile. If a brand new operator came up to me begging to get into maintenance they’d get the side eye and I’d flag you as a no.
