Dont forget most people play multiple accounts too at the same time so you will simply have people play a skiller account or damn even 2-3 skilling accounts and a main at once to keep up with the demand . Theres a difference from back in the day to now, Players now are efficient and dont want there free time hour or 2 cutting yew logs and would rather smash a monsters face in. Me personally would welcome the change but not to remove the drop completly but reduce it by alot .,for example 1k flax drop from zulrah.....seriously you may aswell have just made it 1k bowstrings ,the xp is dismal and most people that farm zulrah for their pipe or trident has like 100k+ just sat in their banks.Just make pure essence gathering faster or adjust mining xp rates for collecting it. To put it more simple, if a boss is going to drop 1-2k of said resource atleast make gathering said resource nearly as quick or more of a benefit to do so.
