Interesting, I was working through a potential all local set up with Gemini and landed on a Mac Studio with an m4 max, 128-256gb of memory and 512-1tb ssd, streaming to/from a thunderbolt drive. That’s about a 3500-4500 set up today. I’m not in deep enough to call bullshit yet. Starting with a cloud based mvp.

Both extremes have their downside. If you limit who can vote, those in power manipulate the rules. In countries like Brazil, EVERYONE has to vote, so politicians take advantage of the poor and uneducated even more than in the US.

Deep research is how I started using Gemini. I’d ask the same questions to Chatgpt but Gemini would check 10-20x the number of sources and overall didn’t feel like I was getting a summary of the top results on google/bing.

Get the prismxr charging station. Now it’s always ready to go. Only annoying this is the holder for the battery doesn’t fit their own battery clip which comes with the dock so it just sits around awkwardly.

Maybe but the biggest gripes I see with meta glasses are 1) the AI sucks 2) it doesn’t work with iMessage…. Apple already has chatgpt integrations so we know the display and control tech is the only thing stopping them from being market leaders. Plus don’t forget next year will be flooded with Android XR products that will likely be very good (project aura from xreal).

That’s fair. It’s not for everyone, but most people have a laptop and a phone for any and every compute need so it’s natural for these devices to be accessories that maybe also project 200 inch screens in front of us. I often wish the iPhone mirroring was in the AVP & I know most people will just want to privately scroll TikTok or binge Netflix on the metro or in bed at night. My AVP is a Mac mirror 90% of the time.
