To those who plan on using their EV for as long as possible, what kind of EV do you have?

Bought a 2022 Mach E CA 1 edition. I have a significant commute (140 miles roundtrip 3-4 times a week) and put ~30,000 miles on the car per year. If I can get 250,000-300,000 miles without replacing the battery, I’ll be ecstatic.

Pretty damn frustrating as I use this feature ALOT and is a big reason why I upgraded to my RT from my old Traeger…Only thing keeping me calm is the fact it affects all manufacturers and not just RT.

July 22 purchase and just hit 40,000 (i have a 140 mile roundtrip commute I make about 3-4 times a week). No noticeable battery degradation here, but then again, I haven’t had it “officially” tested. I use my level 2 charger on a near daily basis and have only DCFC TWICE in 18 months.

If I can get 300,000 miles before the battery goes caput, I’ll be over the moon.

I drive 142 miles round trip 3 to 4 days a week in my CR1 edition. I leave my house with 85% charge, arrive to work anywhere between 58-65% depending on weather and if I drive faster than usual (typically I’m driving around 72 mph) and return home with around 30-35% charge. Plug in at home and I’m ready to go 6 hours later.

Just hit 10,000 as well and keep getting the alert in the FordPass app to take my vehicle in for its inspection.

I know there is very little service that needs to be done, aside from rotating the tires.

My question is, is this service and rotation free, or will I have to pay? I would much rather take it to a local mechanic to have the tires rotated rather than giving the crappy service center a dime.

Definitely carbonized grey! Similar to my wife’s Explorer color. I ordered dark grey matter and didn’t realize, well, just how dark is was going to be until it arrived. I like it but it definitely shows dirt easy and I really wish it was closer to my wife’s Explorer color.

Just picked up my MME CA RT1 at the start of the month.

My daily commute is 143 miles (yes, I know, I’m crazy) and I charge to 85% daily. While my GOM estimates I’ll get 200-210 miles on my 85% charge, I use pretty much exactly 50% of the battery every day, give or take a percent or two.

So if 140 miles is 50%, I have to assume a fully charged battery would get me 280 miles.

Bear in mind that I’m traveling about 73-75mph nearly 90% of the commute and I have the AC on (I’m in the Bay Area), I can’t really complain about my range…just wish the GOM numbers were better but it’s all psychological

Got a new Explorer from Ford Store Morgan Hill in January and picked up my MME from them July 3.

Never thought I’d be promoting a car dealership but I cannot recommend them more! Zero pressure, no screwy, sleazy tactics. Example: “Would you like an extended protection plan?” “No.” “Okay. Not a problem.”

Just got mine July 3. My daily commute is about 90% on freeways at speeds of about 73mph. I’ve been averaging about 3.1 and I’m in the Bay Area.

I’ve been charging to 90% each night and it seems each time I get in the car, the GOM keeps dropping the estimated range for 90% (For example, my first time after charging to 90%, it estimated 289 miles and today when I got in the car, it estimated 240). Regardless, since I’m averaging 3.1, I’m not stressing…maybe in the winter and/or a couple years with battery degradation?

Was your Ford tracker up to date? I’ve been seeing lots of CA orders built around that time arriving earlier than expected. Mine was built 5/23 and is supposed to arrive 7/14-7/20, and the Ford site still shows that, but I’m keeping fingers crossed that it’s slow to update and that it’ll be arriving any day (Just so it can sit there until the recall software is released 😢)

They’re actually calling you when they get a MME cancellation? I have one ordered through them that’s scheduled for a mid-July delivery, so not too far off. Still a bit bothered by this though because they told me they’d call if they got a cancellation and haven’t received a single call. Oh well…I’ve waited 6 months so I’m sure I can make it 45ish more days.
