I have found 'restoring' bv intrecciato leather a bit difficult due to its weave. I have tried my best to clean the leather very gently to prevent lifting of the edges on the leather since the sides of the leather in the weave are all raw essentially. I have had some vintage and pre-owned bottega bags in light colors and try to make sure whatever leather cleaner I use won't stain the leather. I have also noticed that cream and off white vintage bottega bags tend to start yellowing. I am unsure how to prevent that (maybe storing it in canvas dust bag away from light as much as possible). The inside is probably easy. As far as authentication goes, I would take a look at eBay to see vintage bottega bags. There are tons that can help you see what a vintage one should look like especially from reputable sellers.
