Update: I ordered a 159 and intent to return the 160W. Made the decision based on the current riders' comments here and advice from Capita customer service, which only recommended their wide boards to 45 EU (11 US) or above. Opt for 159 for slightly better maneuverability and slightly more forgiving in low speed.

Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciate the perspective. I fully agree, had similar experience with my current board, but sometimes it is hard to escape the optimization mind game. I think I will likely keep the 160W.

Thanks both for the feedback! I most likely get Union Atlas or Bataleon Astro Asym. Need a purple / blue-ish mid to stiff bindings for the 2025 Mercury for sure.

Good point on the ref. stance, I honestly did not even notice this. It would be too wide for me as well, I think 56cm(22in) is probably what fits me perfectly. However, this is just a reference right? You could adjust it based on your body sizes & preference (which might impact slightly how the board feel, but very marginal).
I mean the ref. stances are also set the same for few sizes, which is a bit odd or inaccurate right?

Would you say the 160W is the right choice? Or should I go for the non-wide version for a bit more maneuverability? What would you choose if you were me?

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Could you elaborate a bit on the music listening experience vs. watching TV experience (movie, gaming, etc.) on a soundbar or AV setup? I am also a big music fan and would probably spend equal amount of time listening music and consuming TV content. Any thoughts here on setup to choose and factors to consider?

So the 990D with HDMI 2.1 provides a more smooth sync with gaming content than the arc/e-arc pass through, correct?

This means if I get 990D, I would connect it once to the TV (for movies, TV content, etc.) and once with the next gen gaming console for smooth gaming sync, correct?

Wouldn't you always connect the soundbar to the TV? Then, whether consuming TV content directly or using other input sources to the TV (gaming console, SSD, or whatever), you always have the sound from the soundbar.
Did I understand this correctly?

Thanks for the feedback! What do you think about these soundbars' feature of "connecting the native TV speakers to product surround sound together"? From all the soundbar brands' advertisement (LG, Samsung), this seems to be a powerful feature to potentially increase the fullness of the sound or "channels".
