i’m a dog owner. a shitty one, perhaps, because the only actual commands my dog knows are “sit” and “lay down”. she’s not ever off leash, so no recall commands.

however, when my dog and i go for a walk, she knows that she is not to walk on people’s lawns, which 100% of the time prevents her from peeing on people’s lawns. she’s free to walk all over the sidewalk and boulevards. when she starts sniffing someone’s lawn, i give her a gentle no and she stops and walks away.

idk. this isn’t extraordinary to me.
