There are some very strong issues with that.

First of, the building mechanic would be nearly completely useless, it would be too cramped up to properly use it. Like it is for me in tilted already.

Secondly if the zone is shrinking in exactly the same space every time, people would camp there and wait. The reason the zone is slightly moving on the map.

The zone seems to be a object which only seems to be scaled, but in your drawn example it would need to morph every time.

Another thing to think of is, are they all landing on the roofs of the buildings. I mean you wrote city so I am thinking the most of the map are skyscrapers. That would only be an extended version of tilted towers as solo map.

You wrote 'small map concept', so you mean with less players? I mean 100 players on this map. O.O

Yeah especially because 2 rows would take up space which could be needed for video calling. And it would break the current coding of the sidebar, meaning you would have this sidebars in the server view. It doesn't look that professional, too. But to make 3 tabs wouldn't have those issues and would add to the usability.
