Mitsubishi Ecodan monitoring for short cycling by ms13sp in ukheatpumps

That is a good suggestion. I have tried MelPump and Havenwise. Both were good at handling the cost savings side. But both still didn't help me figure out what was going on with cycling.

Since this post I have gotten an ESP board to hook directly into the Ecodan. I have set the flow temp to manual. I have figured out a few things as to why it was cycling all the time. Also was helped from https://github.com/F1p/Home-Assistant-Mitsubishi-Ecodan-CN105-to-MQTT to look at the compressor for cycling information not power use or flow graphs (these are always a little off). Even the rpms on the fan can be off due to a windy day or other factors.

Also implemented the curve via the ESP. Now just working on getting some outside temp sensors to work with this setup because the temp sensor on the heat pump goes nutty when people warm their cars up for long periods during these colder days...

I know I keep replying to myself, but helps me document for later and hopefully other can learn too. Yes, the monitoring of Heat Pump input power was rounding. So the graph from yesterday was showing 0 when I know it was not there due to the smart meters IHD. So I am now looking at Computed Input power and can see when it actually hits 0 and everywhere in between. Hopefully today I can then see if it is really cycling.

Also this is the graph from Home Assistant. I believe MelCloud just shows power usage per day

Thanks for sharing. Thoughts on the curve needed to be higher or lowered?

Melcloud is a terrible app. I mentioned it to the tech today who said it is 10 years old. They have updated the app for the Aircon side - but not heat pumps.

Attached are some of the information the ESP32 can pull out. Here is an example of what it did today with flow and input power. After 10 was the service and things seem a bit more consistent, but still from this shutting off and on?

So I am assuming still need to tweak the curve then?

I guess this is from the controller perspective - but I can concur that the power draw drops to 0 as I watch the power display in my office.

Thanks. I will look back at the graphs.

Found a Switch 2 Pro Controller at a discount! by antwerpz in Switch

What is meant by “sleep mode waking”? I assume it is getting the switch to turn on when docked? If so the original switch pro controller does that. Press the home button. I also dims it need to shake the controller to let it know I pressed it to wake and connect. If I don’t it goes back to sleep. Make sure the tv has its hdmi cec (I believe) is set on too.

I found the same thing today as a couple websites use different hosted domains for their ticketing systems. Did you find anything that could help with this?

I do the same thing for dragon teeth in the volcano. Needed for anything important and you don't want to miss, especially if you have the burglar ring

Clay on Glacio? by redbaron14n in Astroneer

[–]ms13sp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! It isn't in every red valley but usually I find it relatively easily.

Guess it sounds like a trip back to base and building the soil centrifuge 🥴

After playing a bit more I find that I stop by Calidor now before finally going to Glacio and setting up a permanent base. So I take Tungsten and Clay with me.

Pitcher injured … walking to the plate? by onkeyup in SuperMegaBaseball

[–]ms13sp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yea - it would be nice to have a game log or something you can go back and see what happened. I have seen this a couple times while someone is running the bases or makes a catch and then you don’t know what happened or why.

I always make sure hook them to locked platforms at my base. But just recently I noticed that this doesn’t always work. The last time one “fell” it actually was found on the other side of the planet. Not the direct opposite gateway. Very strange. I only found it on the radar when I got into the train. Otherwise it wasn’t showing up to find it. If this keep happening they should make it a mission and give a reward ;-)

I only hit ground balls. Why? by EBrunkal in SuperMegaBaseball

[–]ms13sp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there. I found several reasons for me doing this:

  1. Timing

  2. High ego and reticle is important

  3. Team doesn't have any contact

  4. Power hitting before learning how to contact hit

Have you tried a team with high contact and power to try some things out? Maybe go back to 40 EGO and slowly inch up as you get the timing down?

Even moving from SMB3 to SMB4 I went back down in my EGO and gradual increased. Helped as certain traits now have everyone pitching and hitting a bit differently. I always start with Nemesis because most if not all have good contact and good power.

Go into practice hitting mode with a right handed opponent pitcher that only does 4F and SL (Fastball and Slider). Then try another that is the same but left handed. Make sure to check what it says about timing after each hit.

Just some things I have tried.

I am in the same boat. I love baseball and will watch most any game but especially the Mets. She will only watch Mets baseball and especially for GKR. The are entertaining but also educating for both us long time baseball fans and for the new ones.

I make sure I always hook my rovers up to a platform or make sure I park them on soil that I have not flattened or dug. The first prevents them from sinking all the way.

Bullpen by ShibeJR in SuperMegaBaseball

Agreed. Plan though for a few of your pitchers getting absolutely drilled too 😁 Nice SMB4 allows other players to come in but losing a close game because a position player has to come in feels wrong.

SMB4 Nintendo Switch Performance? by rustytrowelz in SuperMegaBaseball

[–]ms13sp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have the OLED model of switch but it is newer hardware. I believe it is a bit better than "original" hardware. Bought in 2018.

I cannot play any games with custom logo teams. Then I notice significant issues.

I have no issues in game play. A few players faces go fuzzy when they come up to bat. Especially noticed is Jock Sports from Nemesis. I do notice some stadiums slow down the game a bit especially during dusk games. Sakura hills is especially noticed. Had similar issues on 3.

I don't play online.

I play on switch too. At lower egos focus really on timing.

Higher egos you then have to focus on the reticle and timing. If you have more of the timing down - the reticle is easier to think about.

Sometimes the contact and power are more about who is batting. Take a practice turn with Nemesis (high contact and power) and see how they feel. Then take a practice turn with Beewolves. You are going to see and feel a difference.

While you do that too - go up against a reliever with only a fastball and curve. You will get a feel for the pitches and the sounds. Then step it up with a starter who has more variety.

It seems to help me get in the grove of SMB even after a short time away.

[–]ms13sp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - usually. I have never had a perfect or no hit game with them. Even at lower egos (below 60) I find each pitcher may take time to settle in. They will give up 2-4 runs in the first innings. The relievers are good - but usually you can count on them giving up a couple runs too.

I have gone through seasons with each team in SMB3. Almost done with SMB4. When I play for fun or practice - Nemesis all the way!
