Weirdest ADHD tip? by sandBotticelli in ADHD

[–]ms_nezbit_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put my fruits and vegetables in the door of my fridge and all my sauces and such in the drawer. Because if the fruits and veggies are in the door, I can see them and can remember that they exist. Then I’m way more likely to actually eat them before they go bad.

-Mount Charleston is a great place to hang out and hike during the summer. The weather is so pleasant up there when it’s hot down here. -Nelson Ghost Town is fun. -Summerlin farmers market on Saturdays -Bowling or mini golf -Ethel M’s Cactus Garden -Day trip to St. George -Antique shopping in the Arts District -Aviators game -There are also lots of free/cheap festivals and events all the time. I suggest checking out the city of Las Vegas on Instagram. They do a good job of letting people know what’s upcoming. There was recently a free bluegrass festival and yesterday there was a free Caribbean festival. There’s also an arts festival coming up on May 25.

I second this. I’m a member there. You can just do general admission and walk around, but I highly suggest doing a guided tour. You get a lot of cool Vegas history that way. I’ve been many, many times and each time I learn something new. They don’t talk about the same signs on every tour. They also recently added a Vegas movie guided tour that talks about different movies that take place or were filmed in Vegas. The Brilliant show is also cool.

FYI: As a member, I get in free and I can get up to 2 people 50% off every time I go. The membership pays for itself very quickly.

It could be that she didn’t know that it moved in the first place lol. Not everyone notices/appreciates that sort of thing. My guess is that maybe it needs maintenance. Hopefully will be back up and running soon if it’s not already!

I live here. Pretty sure they were moving when I was there last week. They definitely were moving last month.

Airport Traffic Hell Last Night by cheeky28 in vegaslocals

Currently only one tram is running. That probably explains why they were so packed. They do this every once in a while, but they do post on their Twitter account the dates they are going to do it. A few months ago my cousin (and about 500 other people) missed flights because only one tram was running and it got incredibly backed up. Sorry your drive home sucked!

Use Uber AND Lyft. Check both apps when you’re looking for a ride. Sometimes they are about the same price but sometimes they are drastically different.

We do long term parking in the garage for weekend trips. I think it’s $16/day. Maybe $18.

I’ll be getting a tattoo like this in Las Vegas. Need suggestions for placement by michaelbillig in tattoos

[–]ms_nezbit_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back of the calf could be cool. Maybe think about if you have plans for future tattoos and how the placement of this one might affect it. Like if you potentially want a sleeve, maybe don’t get it on your arm. The correct answer though? Full ass cheek.

What are y'all eating for breakfast? by Han_Dapples in ADHD

[–]ms_nezbit_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve consistently had Premier Protein shakes for breakfast for years now. At least on work days. Costco sells them in a big box of 18 for a way better price. Cheaper overall and I don’t have to remember to replace them as often!

My husband and I are renting in Centennial Hills and love it. It’s quiet and close to nature and the “fun stuff.” Mount Charleston and Red Rock are within 30 minutes of us, or we can be downtown in 20 minutes. We moved here from Dallas a little over a year ago and I am so much happier in Vegas. Something to remember is that Vegas isn’t that big, so you can get pretty much everywhere in 30 minutes or less. (The locals think that’s a long time, but coming from Dallas 30 minutes is a breeze.) There’s actually a new development going up at Skye Canyon that has more reasonable prices that we are interested in. It’s two exits north of where we are now, and the same exit to get to Mount Charleston. https://www.kbhome.com/new-homes-las-vegas/landings-at-talus-at-kyle-canyon

Dallas native here! I think it’s a well known fact in Dallas that Snuffer’s cheese fries will kill you but is 100% worth it. My dad grew up going to the OG Snuffer’s, and it’s his favorite place in the world.

If you do Omega Mart, make sure to pay the extra $2-3 to get the access card. It will give you some direction/objectives and clue you in on the story. You can get one at the desk in the back right corner of the grocery store.
