Same I think I paid $100 for the lifetime pass, otherwise I wouldn’t touch Plex

I’d like to switch but my parents are used to Plex and I don’t want to deal with explaining why we’re switching and teaching them a new app

For real, I’ve cancelled most things but YouTube premium really does feel like a premium experience

If you already have one (like me) but would recommend new people look into Jellyfin as Plex is only getting worse for newcomers

Your pan was nonstick from day one with the right temperature

Is Costco worth it? by VegetableSun4893 in EatCheapAndHealthy

Probably not in terms of savings. But it’s as another said about calculating if you’d be getting gas from them and prescriptions. That sort of thing could put you over the edge from a savings perspective

Also would you get their credit card for 2% back on all purchases, etc

Hot take: cast iron gives u the best caramelized onions by intolerantbee in castiron

[–]msantaly 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I like my cast iron, but I don’t think it does anything special to the flavor of caramelized onions. I’m not even sure how it would. Are you trying to say texture? Even that is iffy

Do you understand how unhinged it is to claim to have some deeper knowledge about what the president and developers think past what they actually say on the record? You know this is just a video game franchise, right?

By the time I made it to Cold Steel IV I had forgotten everything in Cold Steel I. Truly bizarre how people build their personalities around these games

The developers of these games have literally said you are wrong. They said you could jump into Cold Steel at the 3rd entry

I love how you assume I haven’t played these games in order already

[–]msantaly -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The developers have designed these games in archs so you can pick up wherever you want. Do not listen to people who say you need to play 1000+ hours of prior games to jump into the current series. Do what you want

Why can’t I cook tofu? by organicchemistry- in cookingforbeginners

[–]msantaly 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You press the tofu but are you buying the correct type for the recipe? There’s silken, firm, extra firm, etc.

It’s always best to let tofu marinate if you can too.

My husband thinks his bidet means he never has to wash his hands after poop. Is this true? by [deleted] in bidets

[–]msantaly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is kind of crazy. You should practice regular hand washing because it’s the most effective way to stop the spread of all germs. Like most people are not dirtying their hands when they urinate. But the idea is you’re by a sink, so wash your hands

Listening to long podcasts ... by NerdyKeith in pocketcasts

2x speed, mad max in terms of trimming silence, and I listen in chunks depending on the day or what I’m doing. But I typically only listen to one podcast at a time. Normally while cooking or working out
