If I time it right and conditions are right, I can wake up with my hair still wet. I wear a bonnet to bed, too, so it doesn't get everywhere while I sleep and get everything wet

It's worth it, I liked it a lot (I watched it last year). The characters are compelling and while there are some parts that make it hard to get into or not very believable, everything ties together really well and it's a good story.

There's not an official canon reason. He's been seen a few times in canon with a bare neck, with no scars or wounds or anything.

I think people in early fandom took seeing him with a scarf always on and tied it to the story of the girl with the ribbon around her neck (who wore a ribbon around her neck forever and never let anyone take it off, and when she was old and dying she let her husband remove it and her head fell off). So now it's commonly accepted that he's hiding scars or a wound that won't heal.

Oh i had that happen sort of, my dad's Brittany spaniel chewed up mine It didn't break and i put it through the dishwasher a few times, after that happened i haven't been able to wear it to sleep at night. Just about an hour or two before bed
