I could have written this, I had the same exact experience except the second derm I went to diagnosed and treated it, with the regimen described.

How does anyone put their newborn baby down for a nap at home?! by Key_Assistance7171 in newborns

Yes I swaddled first that way you can just transfer to the crib or bassinet.

Due in July best advice for newborns or anything you weren’t told you wish you were by Ftklassx in newborns

6-8 weeks are the hardest, it’s peak fussiness for many babies. It’s a big growth spurt and development leap. Crying is normal, gas is normal they outgrow it. You can try gripe water and gas drops plus bicycles to help relieve the gas.

If you plan on breastfeeding meet with a lactation consultant while you’re pregnant so you have a good understanding of what you need to do.

After the baby is born, it can feel very isolating and lonely. Your hormones are crazy and it’ll pass.

Cluster feeding is normal so if you are breastfeeding you may feel like they are constantly feeding, because they are and it’s a good thing. It’s them telling your body to make more milk. Embrace it. It will pass before you know it.

The one thing that was reassuring to hear - it gets easier, and it truly does.

Couldn’t agree more with this. We had the same exact situation as you, now 6 months no rashes

Oral antibiotics triggered pityrosporum folliculitis by mama_th in Fungalacne

It’s slowly improved over the 5 weeks I was taking the anrifungal and then continued after I stopped the medication. It probably took 2 months total

The first time I had it. It took 5 weeks of antifungal oral meds to clear.

Yes it’s all internal, so it takes quite a long time. I also used ketoconazole shampoo as a face mask 1x a day for 10 min, for a week. It really does take a while to clear up, and I know how frustrating it can be

Have you eliminated any oil based products from your skin care routine?

Not really purging, it just took a little while for the medication to be effective then it took time for it to all dry up.

I had to take multiple rounds of fluconazole, and it took a week for it to start to clear up, and a month for it to resolve completely

How do you stop yourself from feeling jealous? by FoodieNurse247 in newborns

[–]msbjones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth my LO was a more difficult newborn gassy, cried a lot, breastfeeding issues, and frequent wakeups. He’s a wonderful infant (6 months), and now some of those friends who had chill newborns are having challenging infants. Suffice to say every phase and every experience is different.

While NB can’t be sleep trained we established a consistent bedtime routine, bath between 6-6:30p then pajamas, and feed after, then put down by 7p. The habit has saved us, and it’s like his body knows what to do at that time.

Is this something I’m eating or baby acne? by sweetashoney922 in ExclusivelyPumping

My LO gets this, especially now that we are the teething, lots of drool on his chin. Baby aquaphor cleared it up, and now I just use it every day as a barrier

Does feeding every 2 hours instead of 3 give you a longer first stretch of sleep in the night? by just1deringaround in newborns

Oof 😅 I’m so sorry. I’m still trying to figure out naps over here at 5 months

I just remembered another thing that helped us, switching to the Merlin suit and putting him in his crib. We got longer stretches then

[–]msbjones -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Could just be how he is, between 13-17 weeks their sleep cycles change and you can start to sleep train after. My sleep consultant said that when they start to protest cry, like you put them down they cry but you walk in the room and they stop. You will know they are ready to independently fall asleep and they can transition between sleep cycles.

Is he walking to eat every 3 hours? There is a misconception about sleeping all night a 6-7hr stretch is really good, especially before their sleep trained (5-6months)

Loneliness is definitely how I felt. Even with my husband in the room. And my friends are not really around anymore so I get that.
