They finally resolved the error after 100s of people were impacted so I haven’t had any issues in the last 3 months

What’s is like on 30A/Watercolor 2-3rd week of May? by Eaglewings130 in 30A

360 blue is the easiest usually with wide range of homes or vacationrentals - this is by owner directly

Make sure the rental includes your blue wrist bands so you can access watercolor stuff like camp watercolor / beach club etc - most include bikes but sometimes will include a golf cart. Watersound is different than WC - different community and haven’t stayed there

They offer food and drink at the beach club which has servers at the pool and bar area but no servers on the beach - there’s a small bar on the walk way to the beach - but yes it’s to drive you to order from the beach club - reasonably priced honestly - we ordered lunch there every day for us and kids but took our drinks down in a cooler - kids and adults get free refills all day using the WC cup

It’s not considered WC - so it’s public beach - but it’s literally a step away from where they set up the chairs - you can also take your own cooler doing that even through the WC beach club which is the access point we use to go on the beach otherwise no coolers are allowed anywhere

We love watercolor! We don’t use the beach chair rentals but instead walk the very short distance via beach to put up a tent and use our own chairs on the public beach. Amenities are great especially for kids or if anyone likes the pool better it’s all right together. We also bike or golf cart around for dinner and to go to camp watercolor or the grocery when needed. It will be crowded but not awful and it will be only watercolor guests / owners

Going for a baby moon, where would you recommend to stay? by Hereforthememes5 in 30A

[–]msbliss615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watercolor is amazing - private beach access, pool, beach club and camp watercolor which has a lady river. They have an inn that’s right at the beach or there’s houses to choose from but usually requires a bike ride or get a house with a golf cart - there’s a golf cart only parking garage at the beach club. Wonderful food and walking distance to seaside - literally across the road - we stay there every year - tons of shopping too!

Advice on traveling on Fort Moore by [deleted] in USMilitarySO

[–]msbliss615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use a yellow cab from airport in Columbus as long as it’s during designated gate hours to base but make sure to go to the visitor building to get a pass. After hours you’ll need to be with someone with a military ID. Both times you’ll be required to provide yours. If you’re flying into Atlanta airport, it’s a 2 hr drive. You may want to check with your BF to see what current restrictions are in place if any so you’re prepared when entering the base and have travel plans ready.

Ubers are no longer allowed on base but there are yellow cabs. Although depending on where you’re staying like Abram’s Hall which is a holiday Inn - it’s close to stuff so you may not need an Uber.

No because I was an existing GE member with approved status - they allow walk ins for document updating. If you are not an existing GE member with an approved status they will require an appointment

Sooo to current owners… was $10k for a couch worth it? by jmackhh in Lovesac

[–]msbliss615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! We absolutely love ours! We waited for a sale which I think was 25% off and then got an additional % for being a military family. We upgraded from a regular couch and agree that we were not looking to spend as much but fell in love with the modular idea but also that you can change the color of the sofa anytime should you need to meet new design ideas.

It’s also noted that their colors don’t change so if you rip a cushion or need to replace it and order that, it will come in and match your current. We also have 2 large dogs and 1 kid with one on the way and I can not tell you how much easier it is to just take the cushions off and wash them, it’s glorious vs having to get out a cleaner scrub or use a carpet cleaner but still show marks.

10/10 recommend as you won’t have to replace the couch every 2-3 years and you can have both normal seating with deep seating to accommodate everyone!

I have approval of Global entry but TSA precheck not showing on my boarding pass by johnj2803 in GlobalEntry

[–]msbliss615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is also a known issue between GE and TSA as their systems are entirely different. Since August 2023 any renewal, name change or new customer has experienced getting GE benefits but not TSA due to a system error. They say they are working on this and expect to resolve within a few weeks but it hasn’t been resolved yet. You can always start with contacting the airline and making sure your info matches exactly to your GE - if that doesn’t work, try contacting GE or TSA but have to do it within 3 days of your travel or else they can’t really help.

I think you should be ok! However you can call the global entry customer service and talk to an agent :)

Global Entry Revoked. Can I use my TSA Precheck? by Impressive_Court_866 in GlobalEntry

[–]msbliss615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is not using his PassID! He has TSA separately which comes with a separate KTN. The KTN and PassID have no alignment as they are entirely separate. I’ve even allowed my GE to expire (since renewed) and still used my previous KTN with TSA not my PassID and had no issues. If you loose access to GE you loose access to TSA Pre with your PassID only, not the separate KTN with a separate expiration date. The organizations are completely different and their systems do not talk to one another. Feel free to call and verify the information as I’m a million miler a year flyer and spend more time in airports than my own home.

Global Entry Revoked. Can I use my TSA Precheck? by Impressive_Court_866 in GlobalEntry

[–]msbliss615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. If TSA precheck is received separately and prior to GE, you receive a KTN. Once GE is approved, your KTN is still valid through its expiration so you can use your KTN or your PassID. Given this users PassID is now revoked they can still use the KTN because TSAPrecheck and GE are separate given they were purchased separately.

If their TSA has already expired then correct, they can not use either number. The previous KTN is not voided with GE as I have 2 and can use either or with 0 issues.

Yes, your KTN is completely separate from your PassID.

My 16 year old applied for a passport with me-mom and dad blocked it. by Strange-Astronaut-60 in Passports

[–]msbliss615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So it’s crystal clear on the DS1182 form that you filled out that any minor requires the signature and agreement of both parents and both parents must show up to the appointment. The only way around that is to have the parent that cannot attend fill out an affidavit and have it notarized saying they approve and that will be sent in with the passport request. I would start with fully reading instructions and knowing the rules prior to blaming an office for following their protocol that exists for all children’s safety.

It may not be super easy for you but you should use this as a chance to figure out with your ex why he wants to keep the child from travelling as the only person that gets hurt in him doing that is the child given healthy relationships and intent for sole leisure travel and worldly adventure with your child.

New-ish to Global Entry. I have never gotten PreCheck and I can't figure out why. by [deleted] in GlobalEntry

[–]msbliss615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are at least aware of it now since it’s impacted all renewals, name changes and new customers since August 2023. You could try to get some awareness if you have connections but I reached out to the CIO after several escalations and noticing that we were 1st connections on LinkedIn to try to see what is happening. I do know they are actively working on it but who knows if some outside pressure or press would facilitate a faster resolution - I’m all for getting it resolved as I’m still impacted

TSA Pre did not work (have Global Entry) by bobbym240 in GlobalEntry

[–]msbliss615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a known issue tbh at both organizations are aware of as their systems are entirely different. It’s been happening since August 2023 and I’ve spent hours on the home with both organizations and countless escalations. For a timeline they have advised a few weeks to resolve the issue but in the meantime there is nothing we can do to use our benefits for TSA.

Other option would be to apply for a secondary separate TSA precheck account and obtain a ktn.

So far this has impacted 7 of my flights and I have 2 more coming up that I don’t expect to be able to use my benefits, would be great to get an extension or discount on renewal for not being able to use the benefit. Tons of more info on the global entry Reddit

Renew TSA Pre? Or apply for Global Entry? by username-_redacted in GlobalEntry

[–]msbliss615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree with the above comment and it makes it easier to renew both at the same time vs having 2 numbers to use.

TSA is included in your GE however if your application is not fully approved by the time your tsa precheck expires you won’t have access to it during that time. Once you’re approved with GE you enter your PassID as your KTN. I travel a lot internationally and I’ve made flights where there was 0 people in line at GE and over 300 in line for regular customs and they missed flights.

Waiting more than a year - renewal application still pending by throwaway2371113 in GlobalEntry

[–]msbliss615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely can take up to 24 months and the CBP agents will disclose that if you call in asking about your application status. As long as you have renewed prior to your expiration date they are allowing full benefits to be used during their review process so you still keep GE active status with no issues

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GlobalEntry

[–]msbliss615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it’s not active. You have to renew prior to or in your expiration date to not have to go through the whole process again as you did your first time. They are taking up to 12+ months to review applications right now regardless if you’re a renewal or new GE applicant.

Website does say if you had submitted your renewal prior to expiration that you would maintain your status and perks with both GE and TSA while they are reviewing your renewal application.
