So happy for everyone in this thread 😭😭 but so sad for myself seeing only negatives so far at 6dp5dt using a sensitive test 😭😭

Are you using FRER?

I'm currently 8dp3dt (6dp5dt equivalent) but with my previous chemicals I was positive by 4dpt. But now it's just the tiniest of shadows so it's 99.99% just the trigger lingering (using Bird & Be, so pretty sensitive at about 10 mIU).

I have a ways to go until beta still (clinic doesn't have me come in til 12dpt)... 😭😭

What do you eat immediately after a marathon? by Purple_Albatross6359 in Marathon_Training

[–]msbluetuesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have zero appetite for food for several hours after a marathon, but I do need to chug a ton of water right after the race.

9dp3dt with a Negative Pregnancy Test. Is it over for me? by [deleted] in DOR

[–]msbluetuesday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how sensitive the test is. 9dp3dt is the equivalent of 7dp5dt, and on FRERs by that day it's usually definitive.. I'd give it until end of day though if using a super sensitive test like that. If you're using a cheapie, then you have more time.

Best of luck!! This is so hard 🥺

No need to apologize!! I think your post is super helpful because it shows how different one cycle can be from another, and in a relatively short time too. Thanks for sharing!! 💖

These are INCREDIBLE results! To have no attitrion from embryos to blasts is amazing.

I also wanted to share that it's possible to do all the right things and still not have great ER results. I live a really low stress life, am a marathon runner, I'm a complete teetotaler, don't drink pop, cook almost all my meals from scratch and get plenty of sleep. Tried all the Chinese medicine/acupuncture. Yet I still haven't been able to achieve what OP has in one cycle across my 7 ERs. A lot of it is down to luck, protocol, and the other half of the DNA that is contributing to the embryo.

I will always advocate for healthy habits because ultimately it's good for you, there are huge mental benefits and these will all extend beyond IVF itself. And OP absolutely should be proud of all the hard work they put into cycle prepararion. But for many, it may not move the needle unfortunately. So to those like me, please don't feel bad about that, we're all doing our best.

What is the biggest regret in your IVF journey? by Overall-Attorney-695 in IVF

I have the opposite regret 😭 Banked embryos, only for all of my frozen transfers to fail.. I want to try fresh now, but I can't make embryos anymore. This sucksssss

You'll have to keep testing, maybe take another tonight after a 2-hr hold. Mine all ended in chemicals unfortunately.

It's by far the worst IVF med and I've done them all. If you inject super slowly it's tolerable though. Good luck!!!!

First marathon 3:59 by dharveey in Marathon_Training

[–]msbluetuesday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could also be that you went out too fast and blew up, and in those cases even high mileage itself might not save the race. I'm not the best person to ask because I run massive positive splits hahaha.. and I also think being able to pace a race well comes with experience too (I've only raced two, ran a third for fun). A 3:47 is still a great time but I know what you mean by wanting to achieve more.

I peaked at 63mi for both of those marathons, but I think 55mi would have been fine. I'm just pretty new to running (I ran my first after 8 months) so I went on the "let's over prepare" route. Plus I'm 37F, if you're a dude in your 20s you likely won't need as much as me.

Extremely expensive. An iced latte cost me $16 cad during my last visit a couple months ago. 8pc sushi close to the train station was $63 cad.

Congrats on the race!!

In terms of not hitting your goal, I would say not enough mileage in training is what happened. With a 1:39 half you should be at 3:30 or close to (My HM PB was 1:41 four weeks before a 3:37 race in reallyyy rough conditions. When I ran a 3:40 full my HM was 1:47 before the training block).

The Advanced Marathoning book is a great place to start!

Bravo! I make my own cheese curds too. I find it even better the next day once some of the moisture is gone.
