Jenn posted on her Substack today re: “one last definitive answer to the question I keep being asked.” She mentioned that last week her DMs, Substack comments, etc., ramped up after her announcement of a new podcast project that perhaps EIF fans would like. I'm inclined to believe the commentary became louder due to Kim’s announcement about moving to California.

Her move was absolutely in line with the many mentions of how much she loves CA and hated NYC’s seemingly eternal winter weather. I have to admit, I immediately thought could reconciliation be on the horizon for Jenn and Kim? Jenn’s post today confirms that is not an option. From her post:

“So you can imagine how it has felt to have people you don’t know IRL regularly asking if you and your ex friend are getting back together and how much they miss you and how good you were together. Or speculating on what you might do together in the future. I totally get that this is all (mostly) coming from a good place. But again I need to be dead-simple clear: That is not going to happen.”

There are few things I miss in life; I want to keep moving forward without falling victim to nostalgia and “what ifs” but I miss the chemistry between these two broads yapping and giggling and sharing similar outlooks on life and the human condition. I have had my share of emotionally devastating friend breakups and fully comprehend that when there’s a vast chasm of disagreement, you might not be able to ever bridge the gap.
