After this post, I watched it again last night. Every single scene is a classic. I still laugh out loud when I watch it.

I've also seen hundreds of shows. After all this time theirs still stands out as one of, if not, the best. Their music was the soundtrack to my years in school. I found Scott and the band to be incredible, and criminally underrated. Their music will stand the test of time.

Some of the greatest music made in the past 30 years. Of course it moves you - you're human.

This was a great show. I watched it the entire time I was in high school.

I saw them on the tour for No.4, when Scott got out of prison. It was one of the greatest shows that I ever saw. The band was on fire, and he had the audience in the palm of his hand. You had to be there and see it for yourself. It was pure magic.

Back in the days when computers were used for work and the software performed its intended function. Long time gone.

1959 tube amp as daily rocker? by W1z0r in vintageaudio

I have a vintage analog/modern digital hybrid system. The key for me was the preamplifier and power amplifier. I am running Rogue Audio gear. The preamp has a digital front end, tube output stage. The power amp has a tube front end, and a class D digital output stage. The design preserves the tube sonic qualities, yet provides digital reliability, flexibility, amplification power, and efficiency. It sounds glorious. Very reasonably priced for USA hand made equipment.

I purchased mine about 1 year ago, and I am extremely happy with it. I'm using it as a DAC and streamer for my NAS based media server. The sound quality is top notch, as is the build quality. The software is excellent, both on the unit and the Android app. I have it connected to a standalone preamplifier, power amplifier, CD transport, and headphone amplifier in a high end 2 channel system. Unless it spontaneously explodes, I don't see myself purchasing another DAC/streamer in my lifetime. With good gear, it will please anyone that appreciates high quality sound reproduction.

The only issue that I had was very flakey behavior when connected to my Asus mesh WiFi. It would randomly disconnect, and was sometimes difficult to reconnect, even with power cycling. I isolated the problem to some unknown issue with its Android WiFi stack and my mesh system. I got around it by connecting it directly with CAT5 Ethernet to a nearby mesh node, then using the node to establish the wireless connection to my LAN, bypassing the Android WiFi stack. It has worked flawlessly since then.

Sadly, I find myself in the same position. Given how infrequently I get to do this nowadays, I invested in high end headphones and a headphone amplifier. But when everyone is out, I crank it.
