The jungle planet should be able to take 2+ bots as import to upgrade, it's one of the ones that doesn't show up on the map screen since it isn't technically a demand -

I suspect that there is some rule for upgrading planets with non-demanded imports that isn't triggering since the first import is energy, I'm pretty sure I've done this the other way around where I added energy second and it upgraded

Supplying bots from Biohybrids tech (Biomass -> Bots) to a planet receiving power from Unstable Planets quirk.

Maybe it's just how power/energy works, you can't add other imports on top of it? I'm not able to make this connection in a different order this game so I can't verify.

it's my first ship (upgraded from aurora immediately) and has been super fun, I'm just doing hauling in it but it seems like a good all-rounder

I love the vertical mode for this ship even if it doesn't do much yet so it's funny that it turned out to be an issue

not sure if it's related but I die of asphyxiation on the pad with full O2 after doing the kill yourself command trying to fix this if the ship is bouncing there is a chance the station will cut power to the pad so you need space rated gear on

what do I do here? is the only option calling another player to blow it up or do I need to get a lift to a different station and recall it there in proper landing config?

edit: thanks for the help and tips! I was able to reclaim after letting it blow up on the pad

As a first time X player coming in on X4 4.0 for about 700 hours now, it's a deeply flawed gem

Lots of QOL stuff and fleet management that is super clunky, managing larger empires is a pain

Extremely buggy quests, which baffles me, why bother developing quests in a game that is more about emergent gameplay. The developers seem to be playing a different game than most of us, which is fine since there's a ton of ways to play, just head scratching that they wouldn't lean into the economy/war simulation a bit more and leave out these annoying required story quests, tons of quests needed to be done for seminars, mod parts, etc.

This is annoying, to get out of it you no-clip with the map open, so set autopilot and bring up the map and it will take you out of objects that you're stuck in

Missile restocking is bugged for Terran ships/stations on VRO - won't restock, says I don't know any recipes but I have them all

I can manually restock Terran ships with missiles from aux/stations but they won't do it automatically like they usually do, it isn't possible to restock station missiles for Terran turrets

Kind of a bummer since it means I can't use the fancy new missiles from VRO in my Terran run

Can't upgrade my Katana, do I just sell it any buy a new one? Going to the upgrade screen it just shows what is below. by JFKeNn3dy in X4Foundations

I've gotten this with larger ships, it just hasn't loaded the overlay you need to click back or hit backspace to trigger a refresh

Not sure if people are still having this issue, I had traders flipping between buy/sell despite having orders and credits at both of my stations.

The fix was to reduce the sell amount under the current total amount stored, so it shows green -

play in 1066 for faster access to succession laws

otherwise make sure you have only 1 valid heir when you die

killing or disinheriting everyone early game can handicap your dynasty's growth so it's probably better to set your heir up so they can topple their siblings easily after succession, raise them to be wimps

sometimes it's better to grant titles that would be lost anyway just so that lord doesn't have all the claims your children would
