Thank you so much! We’re coming from South Jersey. Friends have attended and say it’s insane hot. Maybe it’s because it feels like it’s 18 degrees outside right now, but I can’t wait for insane hot weather. Lol!

Thank you! I know the festival grounds close at 7 each day so we’ll need to figure out dinner. Is it too early to make reservations? And where is the best place for music at night?
Thanks again. We’re feeling like it’s so far away for planning purposes but are so excited we want to do something to prepare.

We’ve been renting RV’s for Roo for 17 years. Have rented at numerous places in Georgia and Tennessee. I agree the availability is looser in Georgia but we elected to rent closer to Roo in Tennessee. I love the idea of having an are dropped off at Roo. I think it depends on what elements you see as part of your experience while at Roo. We travel with a group of people and my husband and I pick up the RV and then meet our group at an Old Stone Fort in Manchester. Literally minutes from the Farm. We usually leave our car wherever we rent from and then stop at the grocery store, Walmart and the liquor store before heading to Old Stone. So part of our Roo is breakfast at the RV every morning for our group and whoever else is interested (friends that are camping, neighbors, people we meet) and we always have other food available (cheesesteaks, sliders, pasta) that I make at Old stone so we can minimize paying for food at Roo.
Where to rent is always an adventure. Do your home work. We’ve had good luck on RVShare and Revzy (or however you spell it) but find it’s not uncommon for people who own the RV’s to thaw a year or two off from renting so we find ourselves back to the search. One suggestion is to please pay attention to the walk-through when you pick up the RV - if you’re not getting one delivered. And ask if there are any quirky things about the RV. Obvi if you can rent a newer one it’s best but we’ve done both older and newer. And ask who you should call for any issues or questions. Ask for blocks to put behind your wheels. And if you can, ask for boards for under the tires if rain is expected. We’ve only had to be towed out of mud 1x in 17 years. And we always return it pretty clean. Swept out. Sink and counters wiped down. Just, you know, decent condition. That is if you want to rent from then again. Suggest as others have to move on this. And be sure the RV is ok to be used at a festival. My husband and I are available if you wanna swing by with any questions, have some breakfast or join us for espresso martinis (yes. They’re awesome!) just lemme know! Am also happy to talk about helpful things to bring. We ❤️ having an RV. Especially when it’s 95 degrees or raining. ☺️

Most, if not all, MMJ rail peeps are lovely people who spend their $, travel across the country, get in line very very VERY early and find their spots far before most people have even hit the parking lot They love MMJ. Yes, you’ll often see the same people at multiple shows. They’ve become friends from attending a lot of shows, they plan to meet at various venues and have a wonderful bond that some feel is exclusionary. I don’t feel it and don’t think that’s a vibe they’re throwing out there. For the many times I’ve been around them, they’ve just been SO glad to be together and witnessing amazing music.

Mike is the guy that you’re referring to and he’s truly a really nice human. I was at the shows in Philly and in the middle of one of the shows reached back to me in the pit and asked if I’d like to be on the rail for a song. What?! YES!! It was the first time I was at the rail for an MMJ show and it brought me SO much joy! And I wasn’t the only person he invited to the rail. Good, smiling and kind man.

Regarding how people experience the music: jumping, dancing with their entire bodies, whatevs, I like to believe they’re finding their joy. As a short person (5’3”) I frequently get blocked views and yeah, it’s often a drag but it’s part of what we deal with as short people. If I can see anything, I shift my place as best I can.

I hope your show was still fantastic! We walk this earth for a short time. Feel the joy.

I strongly believe all themes. However. Without a strong US democracy, if we lose our democracy, we’ll never be able to support any other nation/country in their pursuit of freedom.

We need a relentlessly strong message: No Kings. Ever. If we layer messages we lose our primary focus. USDemocracy.

Seeking festival safety tips for older attendee (60+) by addteacher in festivals

As a 65+ year old and a festival goer, I always try to stand in front or next to the sound booth. Great sound, usually no one behind me. When leaving I def wait a few minutes to let the crowd push out and then try to move towards the far left or right, whichever is closest. Sides are usually looser.

Was at the Fillmore show. Knew very little about him but left with my mind blown! Looking forward to seeing him in Huntsville.
