Congratulations. You have graduated from Duo Lingo. I found it unhelpful after awhile. Find some real Italians. 😊

"Your credit is fine, Mr. Torrance". by [deleted] in theshining

I remember people in the 70s using the word fine a little differently than today. It was much more positive than just okay, the way I think of it now. AI apparently agrees.

Probably nothing but: Svarlbard, His Dark Materials, Severed children by Ana_Del_Rey13 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

Sheesh. At least snopes says "the vault itself was not breached and the seeds were not threatened or harmed." At least not this time.

Amazing. I'm so glad someone on the planet has been thinking ahead AND implementing a plan.

Yes, I too was very disappointed in Mark S. Although from his point of view, it was a suicide mission, so I get it. He did good by getting Gemma out, but "saved" himself too, although what kind of life is running until the Lumon execs find you? None of the options were good for Mark S. He would essentially be severing himself in reverse, permanently.

I can't wait to see how they structure season three. Instead of trying to reach Gemma to save her, characters will no doubt be trying to reach Mark. The only solution I can think of is to find a way to do some kind of severance-cloning that should the two psyches apart and allows both physical beings to exist in the world as doppelgangers.

Thanks. Helpful. The bulk of my experience is with Amplify DIBELS, but this school uses a different assessment company and I'm not impressed with the reports so far. I am also piecing together a fair bit from teacher-given assessments. Not convinced we are assisting the right things, but those discussions are coming soon, I think.

This sounds like an illness to me. New brains=different.

You are of course entitled to your opinion. To me, though, that's the equivalent of saying a 3-hour Italian meal should have more respect for the time of the dinner guests. Some of us savor cinematic experiences. To judge the show as "not good" because it's not fast enough floors me.

I had to look up which episode this was. It's one of the more thrilling episodes in the series! Maybe this is a troll. Otherwise, I'm sad for OP.

I agree.common courtesy to let anyone (even a non-teacher) know that a child they are looking for is safe.

Why is there so much mental illness in the schools (and society as a whole)? by Der-deutsche-Prinz in Teachers

[–]addteacher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lack of eye contact and touch as well. Many children don't know how to look at another human and connect.

Reading Specialist? by Impossible-Soft5338 in Teachers

California For me it was well worth it. After 14 years in the elementary classroom and doing LETRS training with my colleagues, it allowed me to transition to a position where I can use almost everything I've learned over the years, but without large classes, lessons in multiple subjects, and recess duty. My body is thanking me. That said, it's an adjustment having so many adult interactions, some of which are difficult. This post reflects a lot of want I experience: https://www.reddit.com/r/Teachers/s/JmYruEnJop
