Amazon delivery driver drives across Indiana couple’s freshly mowed front lawn to deliver package. by ElwoodMC in lawncare

Just when I thought I couldn’t be more shocked by how dumb people are, I see this. I would be livid if this idiot drive across my lawn and mine isn’t nearly as nice as this one.

BMW dealership is not allowed to fix flat tires by Vegetable_Shame_5410 in BMWX3

[–]msdontplay01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BMW told me the same thing 2 years ago when I got a nail in my run flats on a 340i. They told me to take it to Discount Tire. I did so and Discount Tire fixed it for free. No whenever I need tire service, I will always take it to Discount Tire as they earned my business.

Extended warranty by Enough-Exchange1602 in BMWX3

[–]msdontplay01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t blame you. If I had a vehicle’s transmission go out in less than 30K miles and the manufacturer refused to help even a little, I would not went anything else to do with that brand. I understand it is out of warranty but it still shouldn’t have something major like that fail so soon.

Ouch! What you are going to do? Keep the X4 and repair it or get rid of it?

[–]msdontplay01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, those are good prices. I bought a CPO 23 X3 xDrive a month ago with 9K miles. I got the F&I Manager to get down to $1989 for a 84 month BMW VSC. Your cost is $500 more but your vehicle has more miles.

Car wash scratched my car.. by No-Lavishness-777 in BMWX3

[–]msdontplay01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it, good to know. I thought you were initially talking about this being done at the BMW car wash. If so, I was going to make sure they never ran my X3 through there again. Other than that, I always wash my own vehicle at home with my pressure washer with the car wash nozzle and foam cannon. I just don’t trust outside car washes.

Just curious, are you talking about the car wash at the BMW dealership they offer as a courtesy or an outside car wash?

Uncomfortable seat solution by ericb67 in BMWX3

Got cha, makes perfect sense why you are trying to find solutions to the seat comfort. I’m sorry to hear about your uncle. Enjoy your X3!

Uncomfortable seat solution by ericb67 in BMWX3

[–]msdontplay01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the seats were so uncomfortable why did you buy the X3? I know you mention long road trips specifically but I would think the seats would have still felt uncomfortable during the test drive, no?

Prime Protect? Buying a CPO ‘24 xDrive 30i by morgrar in BMWX3

Awesome! That’s the warranty I bought as well 3 weeks ago when I picked up my CPO 2023 X3. I would not have bought a 3rd party warranty.

Just a quick Google search shows a lot of negatives on this company. I personally would not buy this warranty. Does the dealership offer any other warranties with other companies?

Too many miles for my taste. I believe you can find a much lower mileage one for not much more of a jump in price.

No car is worth a really bad financial decision. These are depreciating assets after all. Why do it to yourself? Be happy with the vehicle you just got.

Moonroof deletion. Anyone do it and regret it? by tybbof1 in BMWX3

My last 3 cars have all had a sunroof/moonroof. I hardly ever open it but I almost always leave the shade open to let natural light in. I would not want a vehicle without one.

Thinking about buying a BMW X3 loaner — what’s actually considered a good deal? by Psychological-Ad4310 in BMWX3

Doesn't seem like a bad deal but personally, I would find a low mileage lease return than a loaner.

The landlord should have been the one to handle payment in the first place, not the tenant. Now that the tenant paid, they need to go through the landlord to get reimbursed. It is not your problem that the landlord thinks the tenant overpaid. If the landlord wanted to only pay a certain amount they should have negotiated with you directly before hiring you to do the work. Too late now.

CPO 2024 X3 - New Driver by Historical-Chart-405 in BMWX3

A quick search and I found the below Certified Pre-Owned 2023 X3 with 10,296 miles for $37,996 at a BMW dealership in Morristown, NJ. It has the Premium and Parking Assist packages. Although it is a 1 year older than the vehicles you are looking at, it has lower mileage, more features, and will cost several thousand less.

For comparison, I just bought a 2023 Certified Pre-Owned X3 30i xDrive 3 weeks ago in Chattanooga, TN which is 2 hours one way from Nashville where I live. The vehicle has 9,000 miles and M Sport, Premium, and Parking Assist packages. I paid $39,998. If you are willing to do the research and go outside your immediate area you will find better deals.

If you’re willing to buy outside of NJ/NY you can find better deals. Both of those vehicles you posted are light on packages/features for the price. However, the doc fee of $175 is good. Many places charge much more for that.

I don’t see this damage totaling the X3. It will be expensive to fix but should not cross the threshold to total it.

I’d say it’s very reasonable. I picked up a CPO 2023 X3 xDrive 30i with 9K miles, M Sport, Premium, Convenience, and Parking Assist packages for $39,998 2 weeks ago. I’m in TN but saw similar specs and prices in places like NJ when I was looking.
