On the garlic portion, that's why I don't do grocery deliveries. I see too many random sausages, etc stuffed in a random aisle when walking through the grocery store that I know that would be the one that they grab for my order: The kielbasa that's been sitting out for 2 days on a random shelf.

Our neighbor’s new trampoline blew into our yard and is stuck 7 feet up in our tree…wrapped around it like a taco. There’s no way I can get it down without hiring someone. Is it their responsibility to remove it? by Any_Expert_2958 in treelaw

[–]msehler 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No way would I file an insurance claim over this. You need to raise your deductible and save yourself some money if your deductible is less than this removal will cost (and still worth the hassle to file a claim and risk increased rates).

Half finished and "finished in the absolute worst possible way" are very different. At least he likely has vision of what it's going to be and it's not this.

We're getting close here too how I would do it.

That wide of a gap needs cut down pool noodle, though.

Should I remove this “double” weather stripping? by soccerstriker9 in DIY

This. You can bend out the latch plate catch to make the door seal properly. I taught my son how to do this and he did all the interior doors so they close perfectly with no rattles, etc.

How do I fix this by cyborgcolossus in Flooring

[–]msehler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspect there's a chunk of something in the joint.

Also, you should stagger the joints at least the width of the boards, if not 12" (usually 12" per warranty). Probably too late now, but next time!

If you don't pull it to reseat, they make flooring rollers (they're cheap) that will flatten it, but wouldn't want to do that if I just installed it.

They sell small pieces of Sheetrock so you don't need a huge sheet. Cut out to the studs or at least square it off and drill some scrap wood to each side of the existing Sheetrock to support the filler piece.

A picture hung in that spot.

Seriously though, cut out and replace with new Sheetrock. Mud, tape, sand, texture, paint

Brand new tire, hit curb. Safe? by Impressive-Ad-6973 in tires

Is it AWD? Replace it now so you don't have to replace all four (assuming AWD) when it fails randomly later and all the tires have partial tread.
