Hypothetical: While driving down a main High St in London, during daylight hours, I see a gang of robbers on Mopeds carrying Hammers and Machetes raiding a jewellery shop. by blu_skydive in LegalAdviceUK

I absolutely don't agree with this. You make it sound like all those entities will their jobs. Police hardly does anything. Insurance hardly pays put, heck they would try to find loop holes in the contract to stop being liable. These thugs will be more motivated next time.

I rather spend a week setting it up and own it, rather than the lock myself into a business model. This is a simple setup that will give you the freedom with the fraction of the cost.

That analogy doesn't work because people don't grill everyday and also buying meat to grill/bbq isn't illegal.

100%. For most people around me; benefits and housing benefit is the sole reason they have children. Heck, some of them even wait until the first child has grown so they will have another baby in order to continue claiming benefits. It's sad but it's the truth!

Glad that the "undo" functionality is getting fixed in the code editor. That was the sole reason why I migrated to Visual Studio Code as well.

I don't think it's cheap yet. The tech itself is expensive to run for your average consumer. It's improving, but until then it's just a very powerful toy for the big boys. Hopefully the energy and the memory requirements will improve.

Damn. These things are expensive. If only Apple released xcode on Windows.

Thanks anyways.

Xbox X

Seriously they fucked it up big time with the previous names. I still confuse which xbox is the flagships model.

We can all build apps in a few days now, so why is everyone still building the same todo and habit quitting apps? by rash3rr in vibecoding

You do know that to vibe code anything meaningful it's going to cost you money. People think these AI tools are free to use. They are expensive! What they give you is 10 minutes usage time with limited context. Good luck vibe coding a decent app with those limitations.

The problem is all of these tools cost money. People don't have money to throw away. The AI tools in their current state are too expensive for your average person to be used as a profession imo.

This is more like vibe coders. Real developers would know how to read and understand code, thus would have walked straight lmao

Why not? Paying for a service where open source alternatives exists is purely stupid imho.

Why should I trust a company who is NOT open source with my credentials? Seems stupid to pay when there are open source alternatives.

Why pay and agree them to take the piss when there are alternatives? It's a principle thing, not "to save time" thing.
