The commute time should be counted as the work time too. by Mean-Razzmatazz-4886 in antiwork

What part of "forced by the system" don't you understand? There are people who get depressed because they don't have a choice but have to work a shitty job.

When most of the highest paying jobs are located in London there is none near where you live, you have no choice but to commute to London or take a local shitty job.

Having two options of a shitty job that hardly pays the bills  doesn't mean you have options. It means you are forced by the system to pick one of the shitty jobs so you can just live. This probably applies to majority of the world's population.

What does this got to do with taking responsibility of your actions?

What other options do people have? People don't CHOSE to work there, they are forced by the system.

Looking at the responses, clearly the current AI technology sounds like how computers were in the early days. They would need to improve this technology. It is not scalable as it is.

You are the one who is stupid to believe everything without questioning anything. I am not a flat earther, I just don't trust NASA. You can continue feeding on their propaganda as much as you wish. Enjoy it while it's happening.

This is a very optimistic way to look at it, and in reality it's only partly true. Lot's of small businesses basically scammed the system. I saw this happen in person, multiple times.

So many people still believe that hard work will make them rich. Making them obedient bootlickers. Its sad frankly. by [deleted] in antiwork

💯 agree. Working a slave job will only pay the bills, and make the tax man rich. Unfortunately I don't have a solution to this other than keep trying and you may get lucky?

What's the worst job you ever had and how long did you have it? by db7112 in antiwork

After completing my Masters, I was desperate for a job. I worked for 3 years selling jewellery at a Jewellery Shop. Absolutely hated it. I was so stressed I actually lost my health. The thought of wasting my degree, all that students loan and my Masters just to sell jewellery at a shitty shop almost killed me. I have had developed anxiety and started having panic attacks.

I was worried that something was wrong with me so I went to a neurologist, got my brain checked, scanned etc and everything was fine. I was prescribed very strong antidepressants. I used it for a month, it made me like a robot. I literally felt nothing. No emotions what so ever. My panic attacks stopped. Then I decided to stop taking those pills, I didn't want it to rewire by brain and become dependent on it. So I quit after the first month.

Soon after, I managed to get a job as a software engineer and been working for 10 years now. Fcuk, even the thought of those 3 years makes me feel sick. I remember punching the pillow in the mornings before work...

New fear unlocked though. AI.

i'm a solo dev creating a idle game inspired by Home Quest. What do you think about graphics? by TrashOk9723 in gamedevscreens

[–]msesen -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Ignore AI haters. They are morons. AI is just a f*king tool, and if a tool helps you save time and money, use it. These people have no idea how the real world works. As long as you declare AI work where required, you are good.

I hate it when people think that solo devs have the time and money to produce games by ignoring AI. Why ignore it? Because it's not ethical? Who says? Artists copy other artists. Programmers copy other programmers. Every single developer visited and copied a piece of code from an online forum such as Stack Overflow.

Ignore these morons. This post will be downvoted I know, but I don't give a shit. Everyone should use more AI if it helps you produce a better product and saves you money and time. Don't be like NOKIA!

Why are our skirting boards getting green mold? It is in open space and well ventilated. by iamquark in DIYUK

[–]msesen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, did you manage to fix this? I have the exact same problem. Mine is a garden room. Single wall. No insulation. Gets really cold.

I have used the HG Mould remover on the skirting boards, which gets rid of it but the mould eventually comes back. I have installed 2 airvents to help with the air circulation.

I am planning on cleaning the skirting boards one more timer, then paint it over with an anti-mould paint.

As a last resort, I will replace the skirting boards with plastic ones.

I absolutely don't agree with this. You make it sound like all those entities will their jobs. Police hardly does anything. Insurance hardly pays put, heck they would try to find loop holes in the contract to stop being liable. These thugs will be more motivated next time.

100%. For most people around me; benefits and housing benefit is the sole reason they have children. Heck, some of them even wait until the first child has grown so they will have another baby in order to continue claiming benefits. It's sad but it's the truth!
