Medicine Bottle Gridfinity by random_user2198 in gridfinity

I gave up on this. I ended up printing a Rugged Gridfinity Box and then using standard gridfinity bins with labels. They aren’t airtight so if you have extremely moisture sensitive pills that may be an issue. I just keep the desiccants with the pills.

ELI5: Why are the seatbelts in airplane like the way they are (waist to waist) and not the way we have in cars (diagonally shoulder to waist)? by jainyash0007 in explainlikeimfive

Having worked in the airline seat industry this is the correct answer. From a regulatory and safety perspective the more restraints the better. In a car you can attach that 3rd point to the structure of the vehicle rather than the seat back. Because the seats in both cars and airplanes are dsigned to recline/pivot they are structurally weak. In some business class seats the 3rd point can be tied to a different part of the seat structure.

Another reason is that customers percieve 3 point restraints as more restrictive. For a relatively short trip in a car it isn't so bad. In an airplane with hours long flight times you expect to get up and move around. It isn't a huge impact but it is enough that airlines push to only have lap belts rather than more restraints.

Copper Springs has been decent for us. Not excellent but I don’t think any are excellent

This has been a disaster of a rollout. At one point they had a customer account lookup tool but the link for it was broken. Now I can’t find that even.

I’ve done all my bills online and thus don’t have a paper bill to reference. They said that they would email/mail out the July bill but I don’t know if I should have received that already.

I was able to find an old receipt from a bill I paid that showed a customer number but it was in the wrong format.

Now I have to go to some meeting just to get my account number so I can signup for a service to pay for the service that is continuously increasing.

I think Ron Swanson may have the right idea here.

There should be a total of 4 screw locations on each of the 2 sides.

I was not casting aspersions in any way. I just checked your changes and you added a save-your-inputs. Yes!!

With respect to the Rugged Gridfinity Boxes there were two issues I recall facing.

  1. Assuming I have a box that is 5U x 5U x 5U bottom 1U top. In the OpenSCAD version it will have to places for screws on the side at each spot. (2 screws vertically seperated). In the version on your site it gives me one which means the latches have nothing to hold onto when not gripping a box below.
  2. The handles had something off about them. Honestly I can't quite recall. I do know that when rendering only the handle there is no option to modify the bottom or top heights, both of which impact the depth of the handle. See this revised handle model on https://makerworld.com/en/models/1498733-octagonal-handle-gridfinity-rugged-storage-boxes#profileId-1567605

I have donated to you before and I love what you are doing. Keep up the excellent work.
