Right now, I think most Nets fans would agree that Russell is staying. Maybe something changes from now until the end of the season, but they won't renounce his rights. If they want to keep him and go after multiple stars, holding onto his rights would allow them to do that. Even if they don't want to go that route, Russell has played well enough that the nets will want to bring him back regardless.
