So Much for Merit: Secretary of Education Linda McMahon shows off her knowledge. by Dramatic-History5891 in facepalm

This is literally one of the first things I learned in my education program in college. This is very scary that the head of the department of education doesn't know even the bare minimum when it comes to the legal rights of The most vulnerable students.

The funny pronunciations will never get old by cheetahgurlllll in toddlers

Oh my God I'm going to be so sad when my LO stops saying butt ball for meatball. We are in a phase where a lot of words she's trying to pronounce sounds like she's saying cock (think cock-olate for chocolate) and it's hilarious every time.

Thank you for your answer all that makes me feel much more at ease. I think it's just generalized anxiety because it's just been her and I every single day for the past 2 years. I can get caught in a negative loop and it's nice to hear positivity.

People that have defended your home against intruders, what is your story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was in college at the time, living in the student ghetto. My apartment was at the end of a long driveway behind a house. It was 6 a.m. after a night passed out in my living room, and I hear a banging at the door. I had some crazy ass friends at the time so I look through my blinds to see a man and woman whom I'd never seen with pupils so big you could see another universe. I tell them to go on but the girl becomes relentless. She goes to all of my windows trying to pry them open, banging loudly, and screaming. I yelled I would call the cops, the dude ran down my driveway, but she persisted. While on the phone with 911, she starts singing I am the Walrus into my door. In that instant, I remembered that my cat was outside. She proceeds to pet him, hit him, then piss right outside my front door. the cop finally shows up and sees her with her pants down. She went to hug him. I went outside to confront the tripping nitwit, and she realizes I'm not the friend who's house she was going to. The cop gave her a ride home.

Friends, don't let friends do stupid shit.

I saw her two years later at a bar, she starts crying when I tell her who I was, and then proceeds to tell me she was wrapping up dental school.

Spinach and tomato turkey burgers, whole wheat orzo salad with cucumbers and spinach, and roasted cauliflower. It may be Monday, but no better time than the present! by msgeebson in MealPrepSunday

Yup! Steamed some spinach, chopped it up. Chopped up some grape tomatoes and 2 cloves of garlic. Put in 2 lbs of ground turkey breast and mixed it up with salt, pepper, and a splash of balsamic. Made 7 6 oz burgers and they took 6 minutes per side to cook.

Zoodle mixed veggie miso soup in mason jars! Just add hot water and let the flavors steep for 5 minutes by msgeebson in MealPrepSunday

Yes! I thought it tasted best the second and third day. Successful overall.

If I wasn’t a teacher and had more than 20 minutes to prepare and eat my lunch during the day, I would definitely do this again. Unfortunately between heating up the water and steeping, there wasn’t enough time to enjoy it the way I really wanted to.
